ANNOUNCEMENTS Due to hurricane damage in Bldg 2, several of our Sunday School classes will be moved to Bldg 1 until repairs are complete. The JOY Class will meet in the Old Fellowship Hall (AA Room). The Logos Class will meet in Bldg 1, Library. The Sojourners Class will meet in Bldg 1, Choir Rm. Lake Junaluska is offering three-day Marriage Enrichment Retreats. Retreat dates begin in Fall 2018 and run through Fall Registration and more info are available at or call The Swansboro Rotary Club is sponsoring a Community Clothing Drive drop off begins Oct 1 (8:30am-6pm), pick up begins Oct 2 (12-6pm). All sizes are needed for children and adult and is open to anyone in need. A Hurricane Benefit Concert will be given by Crystal Coast Choral Society and our Chancel Choir on Sunday, October 7 at 7 pm in the Sanctuary. An offering will be taken and used for local families in need. SAM Gathering on Oct. 17 in Assembly Hall, Bldg 3. Doors open at 11; starts at 11:30. $4 donation. Program: Community resources as life goes on! Sign up online from our homepage or call the church office by Oct. 15 th. Annual SUMC Fall Festival is Oct 28 from 4:30-6:00pm. Volunteers are needed to provide trunks for Trunk or Treating. Set up will be from 3:30-4:30pm in the church parking lot. For additional information, please contact Chris Wilson at cstumpwilson@hotmail.com ( ). MANNA - HUNGER news...the Rotary Center did not have any "leftover" food. Our SUMC pantry is about half capacity. Please continue your faithful giving; especially needed are canned meats, e.g. tuna, etc. We are low on peanut butter and vegetables. We have not resumed our snack program at Silverdale; but will as soon as school reopens. Household items such as paper products are appreciated as well. Look for our grocery carts each Sunday. On behalf of the needy families we serve...thank you for your important aid. Pilgrimage registration is open. It is November 9-11, costs $120 and is open to 6-12 th graders. We have limited space, so if you would like to attend, please register ASAP. If you would like to go as an adult, please talk with Andrew before signing up as adult priority goes to the Sunday Night Volunteers. If you need financial assistance, please talk to Andrew Harper. Taste of Grace - There will be a night of fellowship & worship at Camp Albemarle on October 17 at 6:00pm to come together as a community in the wake of Hurricane Florence.
