1 St. Charles Borromeo Church Sunday, July 8, 2018 Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time Volume 43 Number 27 FROM THE PASTOR: Dear Friends, The Summer Months afford people the opportunity to slow down and take time to renew themselves by taking some vacation. While we move at a little slower pace we can reflect on the gifts God has given us in our family, friends and coworkers. The slower pace also gives us the opportunity to discern where God many be calling us at this time in our life. Mrs. Pat Zeringue who has worked at St. Charles for 47 years, the last several years part time, has decided to retire from St. Charles, effective June 25, We thank God and Mrs. Pat for the many gifts she has shared with the Parish and the many people she has ministered to in her work here at St. Charles. Her love for her ministry and the community of St. Charles is evident in her faithful, continuous dedication. Although she will no longer be working at St. Charles, she will continue to do some work on a diocesan level through the Office of Computer Maintenance. We pray for Mrs. Pat during this transition and again express our gratitude for her gift to St. Charles Borromeo Church. With the 1 st of July, the Priests of the Diocese, who have new pastoral assignments, begin their terms. Fr. Glenn LeCompte, who has served as Pastor of St. Anthony in Bayou Black, has been appointed full time director of the diocesan Office of Worship and theological consultant to the Bishop. Fr. Glenn will be residing here at St. Charles Borromeo. Although he has not been assigned as an Associate Pastor, he will be available to help with Masses and other Sacramental needs. We welcome Fr. Glenn! In Christ, Fr. Carl Mass Intentions for the Week Mon., 7/9 - NO MASS - Feast of Saint Augustine Zhao Rong, Priest, & Companions, Martyrs Tues., 7/10-12:10 P.M.
