THE PROMISE Welcome all Parishioners and Visitors! he who made the promise is trustworthy. Hebrews 10:23 Promises are important to us.

And when someone reneges on a promise, there is a harsher than usual wound to deal with, because we believed that the promise made was meant to be kept.

In the case of Christ s promise to return to us, perhaps it is possible that our memories fade over time, and that we forget the faithfulness of the Lord.

We are refreshed daily by Himself, by His Body and Blood, and we can hold on, in hope and faith, for the coming kingdom. We would like to extend love and gratitude to all of the mom s here today!

2 THE PROMISE Welcome all Parishioners and Visitors! he who made the promise is trustworthy. Hebrews 10:23 Promises are important to us. When someone promises something to us, there is a deep investment. And when someone reneges on a promise, there is a harsher than usual wound to deal with, because we believed that the promise made was meant to be kept. But what happens when we have to wait for the fulfillment of the promise? Do we lose faith? Do we forget what that person has done for us in the past? Do we require reminders of their faithfulness? In the case of Christ s promise to return to us, perhaps it is possible that our memories fade over time, and that we forget the faithfulness of the Lord. But the beauty of our Catholic faith allows for us to celebrate Jesus sacrifice for us over and over, every day, in the Mass. We are refreshed daily by Himself, by His Body and Blood, and we can hold on, in hope and faith, for the coming kingdom. We would like to extend love and gratitude to all of the mom s here today! CCD / RELIGIOUS EDUCATION REGISTRATION DEADLINE MAY 15TH It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT that you register this week. All students entering the 1st grade or Sacramental Prep years (2nd, 10th, 11th) including Catholic school students MUST register now! All student families are required to be registered memebrs of Christ the Redeemer. At the Lord s Ascension, the Apostles did not weep or mourn or panic at the loss of Jesus; they went from the mountain rejoicing, for they knew the love of Christ was still with them, was still guiding them. They sang in exultation with the angels, whose blare of trumpets announced the arrival of Christ to the right hand of the Father. We also extend the warmest of greetings to all mothers on this Mother s Day weekend! Thank you for your love and tenderness! May God abundantly bless you! Saint Joseph, pray for us! IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE COMPLETED REGISTRATION FORM AND PAYMENT BE RETURNED TO OUR CHURCH OFFICE THIS WEEK. 1 st grade students must register in our office. A birth certificate & baptismal record is required. Student families must be currently registered members of Christ the Redeemer. Forms can be obtained in our church office. Christ the Redeemer is re-establishing its Building Fund which will be handled through a 2 nd collection once a month. This fund will cover the cost of all future building projects and any needed renovations. We thank you in advance for your generosity and support. Our office staff will be on retreat this week beginning Thursday, May 12 th. Due to this retreat our office hours will be altered.
