3 BLUE MASS All are invited to take part in the annual Blue Mass, wherein we pray for all community protectors and emergency responders. Bishop Fabre will preside at the celebration. During the prayer for the deceased in the Universal Prayer, the protection agencies members who died since last year either in the line of duty or after a lifetime of service will be remembered. The Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral on September 27th at 11:00 a.m. All of the faithful are invited to participate. PARISH SOCIAL MINISTRY OUTREACH MONTH Bishop Fabre has named September Parish Social Ministry Outreach Month as part of our diocesan strategic plan. Parish Social Ministry Outreach is how we intentionally live out our faith and involves reaching out in charity to meet human and societal needs. This September we ask that each person commits to doing something in the area of Parish Social Outreach. The September issue of the Bayou Catholic gives us a set of ideas to help to connect our Sunday Mass to our Monday daily life. Please read the September Bayou Catholic and check with your parish office for more information.
