CALL TO CONFESSION PRAYER OF CONFESSION Almighty God, in raising Jesus from the grave, you shattered the power of sin and death. We confess that we remain captive to doubt and fear, bound by the ways that lead to death. We overlook the poor and the hungry, and pass by those who mourn; we are deaf to the cries of the oppressed, and indifferent to calls for peace; we despise the weak, and abuse the earth you made. Forgive us, God of mercy. Help us to trust your power to change our lives and make us new, that we may know the joy of life abundant given in Jesus Christ, the risen Lord.

3 RESPONDING TO GOD S WORD *AFFIRMATION OF FAITH The Apostles Creed I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried. He descended into hell. The third day, he rose again from the dead and ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. This summer, 56 children will participate in our VBS Heartland Day Camp with Sunrise Presbyterian Church the week of June 13-17, 2016! We need to provide a number of volunteers to support this ministry and there are many different ways you can serve our children! Consider your God-given gifts and skills, and sign-up today! This person may lead the craft OR assist the camp counselors who will lead. 7 NEW MEMBER MEETING EVERY SECOND SUNDAY On the 2 nd Sunday of each month, there is a New Members Inquiry Meeting in the Hope Room following worship. You may also talk to Charlie or Rebecca any time. SUMMER VBS DAY CAMP REGISTRATION IS OPEN! FPC is partnering with Sunrise Presbyterian Church to host a Heartland Traveling Day Camp for all children currently in Kindergarten through 6 th grades. VBS Day Camp will be held at Sunrise Pres (825 E Beloit Ave, Salina) June 13 th -17 th. This is a week-long, Christ-centered and activitybased camp including singing, games, arts & crafts, Bible activities, water games, and horseback riding. Questions? All women are invited to attend a 24-hour retreat this spring, Friday-Saturday, April at Knox Ranch! Rebecca Chancellor will guide us through Sharing Our Faith Journeys with conversations, worship and communion, prayer, meals, and free time. Registration forms are available in the main office, or on the table outside the Chapel. Join us for Friday night only, or stay the night and enjoy the outdoors with us on Saturday! Questions? (It s never too late to join if you re interested in getting to know people of all ages in the church!) What is your Faith Family doing this Spring? Your Faith Family might sit together in worship, meet for a picnic lunch, go for a walk in the park, do a service project, meet before worship for breakfast, make cards for homebound members of the church... If you need any help coming up with ideas or communicating with your group, please talk to Rebecca! Our next planned event will be an ice cream social this summer! 2016 CHANCEL FLOWER SIGN-UP You may sign-up for Sunday Chancel Flowers, in honor or in memory of a loved one, on the bulletin board in the 1 st floor hallway. MISSION: ENVELOPE Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to grab an envelope on the very large bulletin board by the first floor elevator to support Youth Mission and Triennium! Each envelope has a number you choose the envelope(s) that correspond with the amount you would like to give. To give $10, you may take the envelope marked 10. Or, you could take the envelopes marked 1, 3, and 6. Each envelope shares information about our youth and their mission activities and trips. Keep the contents of your envelope, and return the envelope (with your donation enclosed) to the offering plate or the church office. 8 MARCH MADNESS CONTINUES The results are in, and many thanks to everyone who voted in our Hymn Madness. Below, you'll find the 32 hymns from the Glory to God hymnal that received the most votes in the Round One, 64-hymn matchups. Now it's time to fill a Round Two bracket, indicating your preference in head-to-head matchups. Please return your completed bracket to the church office by noon Tuesday, March 29. Results will be compiled and the next round will be included in the following week's bulletin, until a champion is selected. We'll use the top 16 winners as our worship hymns during the summer.

FPC encourages children ages 6 and older to remain in worship. Worship bags for children of all ages are located in the lobby. When you are finished with the bag, please put it in the basket so that it can be replenished and straightened. Pew Art cards are also available in the pew racks. Extra hymnals, including large print, and Bibles are available in the back of the sanctuary. The sanctuary is equipped with a Hearing Loop. Please switch your hearing aid to t-coil to use. Headsets are also available. An usher will be happy to help if you need assistance. CONGREGATIONAL CARE: Tan Prayer Request Cards are used for prayer requests or concerns. As requests are received, the Board of Deacons will offer prayers. Blue We Care Cards are for messages of care to persons of the congregation, these cards are mailed the next week. Cards are available in the back of the room. Please place the cards in the offering plate. Your Prayer Concerns can now be submitted online. Please visit and they will be forwarded to a pastor.
