Pass your requests to the center aisle during the Opening Hymn. They will be distributed to our Prayer Team to be included in this week s prayers. Restrooms: From the front of the sanctuary, use the left entrance (by the piano) and follow the hallway to the right. The restrooms are down the hall on the left. From the rear of the sanctuary, turn left and go downstairs. The restrooms are at the end of the hallway. Child Care: The Church Nursery is available for children through kindergarten age. To find the nursery, please go to the left front entrance of the sanctuary and follow the hallway to the right. The nursery is on the left. If your child would like to be rocked during worship, a rocking chair is available on the left side of the sanctuary. Children s Church is offered on the 2 nd and 4 th Sundays of the month for everyone in kindergarten through 4 th grade. It begins after the children s message and runs through the end of worship. When Children s Church is not offered, children are invited to remain in worship with their families or go to the nursery, which is open to anyone through 2 nd grade on those Sundays. 4 Tis a Gift to be Simple Tis a Gift to be Free Lenten Study on Living a Simpler Life Starts February 22nd Do you find yourself busier than you want to be? Are your calendar and closets filled with too much stuff? This Lent, we ll be focusing on the spiritual practice of simplicity and the joys of living lightly. Join us as we explore some of the blessings and challenges of choosing less in a world of more. Our study begins the First Sunday in Lent, February 22, at 9:15 in the church library. See you there! 2015 Flower Calendar Would you like to donate the chancel flowers for one or more worship services? The Flower Calendar still has openings for: March 1 March 8 March 29 The calendar is in the narthex. When you sign up, don t forget to tell us if the flowers are in honor or in memory of someone, or if they are to commemorate an important date. The flowers you donate are yours to take home after the worship service, or you may leave them and a Deacon will take them to one of our homebound members. The cost is $40. Dig out your poodle skirt, find your leather jacket, polish your saddle shoes, and come on out for dancing, food, games, food, friends, and FUN! Per Capita is Due in February Per Capita is an allotment that Saint Andrews owes the Beaver-Butler Presbytery for each active member on our rolls. This money is used at the Presbytery, Synod, and General Assembly levels to pay operating expenses salaries, utilities, supplies, etc. This year, the rate is $40.00 per member. If you wish to pay your portion of our per capita, you may use the envelope marked Denominational Apportionment You may also simply mark per capita on the memo line of a check made out to Saint Andrews. Thank you. Corrected Annual Report During our Congregational Meeting on January 25, Treasurer Bill Douthett noted a number of errors in our annual report. 5 First Sunday Mission Offering Our First Sunday Mission Offering in March will benefit the Butler County Relief Initiative. BERI s mission is to compliment existing agencies in meeting the essential needs of Butler County residents whose lives have been affected by a significant emergency. BERI works with the United Way and the Center for Community Resources to address the heating and utility needs of low-income residents. Together, these agencies help clients become more selfsufficient and financially stable. For example, for every dollar contributed by BERI for utilities in 2013, clients paid approximately 40 cents against their bill. This commitment is vital to the client s long-term success. BERI is our mission recipient for March. Please designate your mission offering by writing BERI on your envelope or on your check. Thank you. Spring Cleaning Come one- come all! The Deacons will be doing a Spring Cleaning on Saturday, March 21, at 9:30 am in the Bethany Room. Bring your favorite bucket and cleaning supplies. Hope to see you there!
