People must not have anything better to do than to try to scoop the parish with information. Anyway... The word on the street is that we have hired a new Program Manager for our Religious Education Program. I can say that this is the one and only time that the rumor mill is correct. Let me speak a bit to the process before I get to the who of the process. When Sharyan Borgen announced that she was retiring, I received two inquiries. I did attempt to work through the Diocesan Religious Education Office. I formed a committee comprised of a member of Pastoral Council, Finance Council, two catechists, and a parent. We met to define the job description and duties. We met to discuss the two applicants. We conducted interviews. Both women who applied were obviously spiritual and faith-filled. They both had great ideas based on the Parish s Pastoral Plan. In the final deliberations, one rose to the top. She was offered the job and she accepted. Therefore, it is my pleasure to introduce to you our newest staff member, Bernadette Calvino. Would you like to say something to us Bernadette? God s blessings to you! Over the past several years, I have worked in the Chicago area mentoring youth through art, Catholic theater, youth group, and as a Religious Education Catechist. Last summer while visiting family in Glenshaw, I was able to experience the welcome of your beautiful community. So, when the position of Religious Education Manager became available, I jumped at the opportunity to serve at All Saints. My heart and soul are both excited and eager to meet you! I look forward to assisting in the faith formation of your parish! See you and soon, Bernadette in Church! Fr. Jim Gretz

BOX These are the words of this Sunday's entrance antiphon, and a fitting exhortation it is! In the Gospel reading, Jesus raises the daughter of a synagogue official named Jarius from death. This not only gives us hope in the resurrection promised to us in Christ, but also serves to remind us very vividly how nothing is impossible with God. If that is not reason enough for us to clap and shout with cries of joy, I don't know what is! Yours in ministry, Tom Rishel
