ST LOUISE S COLLEGE St Louise's College Religious Choir will give a special recital of liturgical music in St Teresa's Church on Thursday 18th June at 7.30 p.m. The evening will form part of the ongoing celebrations, within the parish, for the 500th anniversary of the birth of St Teresa of Avila. Refreshments will be served in the Parish Centre after the recital. ALL WELCOME Any donations, to offset the Parish debt, would be much appreciated.

To date we have had 93 parishioners commit to spending an hour with Jesus, He is eagerly awaiting that time with each and every one of you, to shower you with an abundance of love and graces. Jesus says welcome my child. I knew you would come. I have much to offer you. I have so many gifts in store for you and for those you love. Eucharistic Adoration Committee for St Teresa of Avila.

3 3 PAGE 3 During this year since the 500 th birth of St. Teresa of Jesus we honour her well when we focus on the Eucharist and the meaning of the Christ present with us. For St. Teresa of Avila, Christ present in the Eucharist is with us in a way that surpasses all other forms of His Presence. Teresa was in no doubt that the Presence of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament was a powerful source of healing; spiritual healing, emotional healing, healing of relationships and physical healing. Holy Communion was a source of strength and intimacy. Speaking about receiving the Body of Christ in Holy Communion during the celebration of the Eucharist she says ; Now then, if when He went about in the world the mere touch of His robes cured the sick, why doubt, if we have faith, that miracles will be worked while He is within us and that He will give what we ask of Him, since he is in our house? (St. Teresa of Avila in The Way of Perfection). Eucharistic Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is a continuation of what we celebrate in the Mass, the Eucharist and stimulates our awareness of the marvellous and loving presence of Christ and is an invitation to spiritual communion with Him. The ALPHA Course In a Catholic Context The Alpha course is used by thousands of Catholic parishes in over 70 countries around the world IT IS HERE NOW in our parish. It is the start of a journey towards Christ. It is an invitation to us all to respond to the good news through a decision to follow our Christian faith through a series of talks and discussions, in which you have an opportunity to participate. It is an effective initial presentation of the core of the Gospel the Kerygma, it is a reaching out to all, it is a new start for some to others a step on their faith journey. The Friends of St Teresa s Association would like to invite parishioners, friends and family to our Summer Fair, The Association was established in September 2014, and is made up of parents and the wider school community who work together to raise funds to help the school provide extras for the pupils. So we need YOUR help by supporting the Friends of St Teresa s events throughout the year. Please come along and support our Summer Fair. We look forward to seeing you on the day. Donations of cakes or gifts would be greatly appreciated and can be left in the school. Cemetery Sundays Hannahstown Sunday, 31 st May at 3 pm - Mass will be celebrated in the grounds of St Joseph s Cemetery, followed by the Blessing of the Graves. St Peter s, the Rock Sunday, 7 th blessing of graves. June at 3 pm - prayers and Annual Pilgrimage and Mass on St Patrick s Mountain, Saul will take place on Sunday 14 th June at 3.00pm.
