Food Drive thru December As we celebrate the holidays, very often the celebration centers around a plethora of food and drink as well as giftgiving and fellowship (at times too much food!). Please remember those who may not know where their next meal is coming from and drop off any nonperishable food items at the library. Check out Good Shop How would you like to save money when you shop online at your favorite stores AND know that the Library is also getting a donation? Yes, it s possible! The Byzantium people were familiar with agate and knew how to enhance its color by burning. It s a stone that has been around for a long time, commonly used during pregnancy for both mother and child, alleviating any discomfort during the gestation period. It s used to treat headaches, dizziness and impaired balance as well as skin problems. It is important that the stone be in contact with the skin near the organ that needs healing. When placed on the heart and/or throat chakra, it combats feverish infections. Agate enables the wearer to choose between true friends and false ones. It is said to avert storms and lightning, protect children from danger, being prosperity and prevent miscarriages. It is recommended for Taurus and Capricorn to sensitize and strengthen willpower.
