Saturday April 25, 7-9 p.m. Lose the safety net. For me, Spring is an enchanting time of the year. It seems as if the air is fresher, the flowers are brighter and I feel an excitement about renewal. Renewal doesn t have to mean renewing the same old things, like renewing the same library book because you didn t finish it, or renewing your Triple AAA road assistance. How about risking facing the unknown trying something new, something different something that is perhaps not so familiar? As we go through life, we often reach a crossroads where the choices seem to involve the risk of facing the unknown versus the safety and comfort of everything that we have come to trust. You may feel like a tightrope walker without a safety net. If we refuse to act unless we can see the safety net, the net can become a trap a trap that takes away the freedom to pursue our goals. Knowing that you have a backup can help you to have the courage to take those first steps. We DO have a backup. Trusting the Universe, knowing that it provides exactly what we need, can help to remove fear from the equation. Rather than allowing our lives to be dictated by the fear of the unknown, we can take the chance and find out that we experience life MORE fully when we are willing to trust and fall. You may find out that not only have you not fallen, but you ve grown wings to fly.flying into what is the highest good for you in this journey we call the physical life experience. April is a unique month for celebrations. For me, it brings back memories of cultural events I never fully appreciated, but with age, clarity and understanding comes. Easter is celebrated in many cultures as a symbol of rebirth and new beginning; just like last month s Equinox, it is the renewal of nature. Nature shows a new face to the world. Aries is the first sign of the Zodiac, is a fire sign, and fire in its spiritual form is seen as the renewal of nature and all things. This month we are burning our own Sacred Fire and bringing new events to the Library. Early in the month we invite you to an art show and music concert. We will showcase some great local artists. Of course, we will have our annual Open House, a time to come and meet some of our presenters and members a time to get to know each other. The library is also finally expanding its social media presence. We now have Twitter and Instagram accounts. I invite you to follow us as we will be posting many new events and ideas we wish to share with you. May we see you here soon. Wishing you a wonderful April! Crystal Corner Yellow and Blue Obsidian Obsidian is molten lava that cooled so quickly that it did not have time to crystallize. It has a glass-like appearance that is typically very shiny and is known to work quickly (sometimes too quick for those that are not ready for its power).
