This past month we had two presentations involving crystals, both enthusiastically attended! Coral and Nellie are both so knowledgeable about their crystal friends and we appreciate their willingness to share this knowledge with us. Crystals aren t New Age they ve been a part of our planet for 4.6 billion years. They are record-keepers and storehouses of memories and knowledge about the earth s spiritual healing history. Their haunting beauty is irresistible and so it s no wonder we have a long history of wearing and working with crystals. Our gift store currently has a beautiful selection of various stones and crystals just waiting for you to come in and touch them to feel the energy and find the perfect one to take home with you or use as a holiday gift. Other Gift Suggestions How about giving someone the opportunity to try their hand at reading tarot cards? A deck of beautiful tarot cards would be a unique gift, especially since we are offering another series of Learn to Read Tarot beginning January 12! What s Up? Issue Consider incense! Studies confirm that much of our thinking and behavior can be affected by our sense of smell. At the same time, many of the ingredients used in making incense may have some direct positive physiological effect on our minds and bodies. Modern incense cones and joss sticks help us stay calm and reduce stress, revitalize and generate energy, alleviate many disorders related to stress and anxiety and prepare our minds and bodies for prayer, meditation and contemplation. Incense is a perfect stocking stuffer and we have some of the best kind. Finally, we are carrying some unique jewelry pieces from two local jewelry makers on consignment, so you will want to see their unique designs. (760) Eight-Week Tai Chi Chih With Joanne Thomas The circulation and balancing of the Chi is the great secret of life. It is a very valuable exercise that affects the inner organs as well as the muscular structure. T ai Chi Chih is a moving meditation with far-reaching benefits. The slow, soft movements have a real effect on blood pressure, weight control and other physical aspects, but go much deeper than physical therapy. Easy and relaxing to do, it seems to be what this tense and busy world needs.
