Our children's inner need for a strong hope has a better chance of being developed if they are surrounded by parents who have a plan to turn them into adult success stories. Toronto Distress Centre Contact Centre Telecare Peel , Languages: English, Punjabi, Hindu, Urdu, Spanish, Portuguese Assaulted Women s Helpline Distress Centre Peel Durham Crisis Line Oakville Distress Centre Gerstein Centre Kids Help Phone Warm Line, Progress Place (every day from 8pm to midnight) Keeping a Healthy Lifestyle - Eating Regular Meals in Moderation & Sleep Try to eat three meals a day with the largest meal eaten at breakfast, the second large meal eaten at lunch, and a small meal or even a snack such as a sandwich at dinner. Your body is constantly on the move during the day which is the best time to eat larger meals contrary to the evening when you ve slowed down likewise your metabolism. This will foster a more efficient metabolism, reduce bloating, and stave off constipation (along with water). It will also help you to sleep more soundly because you will not have a ton of energy surging through your body as you try to sleep. Sleep is very important and should not be interrupted. Eating food at night will obstruct a good night s sleep; so, try to avoid eating after a certain hour in the evening. Sleeping a minimum of 7 hours promotes mental and physical stability. Adversely, sleeping too long will cause headaches, depression, and a lack of energy. 8 hours is the average. If you have trouble sleeping/staying asleep, play classical music, hymns (instrumentals only as words promotes thinking), or get up and walk either outside or in dimly lit room. A very light exercise/stretch before bed induces sleep too long/too brisk of an exercise will impede sleep. Speak with your physician, as it could mean more serious problems. Another Health and Nutrition session will be coming in the Fall look out for it! Young Women s Ministry begins soon! Meditation of the Week: God made a choice to create man in His own image and likeness. Man made a choice to disobey God and chose knowledge over His wisdom. God forgave man through the free gift of salvation. God gave His only begotten son (Jesus Christ) as a ransom, to die for ALL our sins that we could be forgiven through the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Whom will you chose? Man or God.! 8
