Opening Song Congregation Opening Prayer Welcome and Opening Remarks Superintendent Secretary s Report The Church at Study Teachers Lesson Theme: The Road to Faith Today s Memory Text: Scripture has confined all under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe (Galatians 3:22, NKJV). Summary: The Law was given to point sinners to their need of Christ. As a custodian, it provides instruction about God and protection from evil. But like a disciplinarian, it also points out our sinfulness and brings condemnation. Christ frees us from the law s condemnation and writes His law upon our hearts. 2 Call to Worship Habakkuk 2:20 The Lord is in His holy temple; let all the earth keep silence before Him. Affirmation of Faith John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. Exodus 20:8-11 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labor and do all thy work; but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy GOD; in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day; wherefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.
