The uniform our team wears is made of a fine, heavenly cloth and adorned with jewels. Our uniform allows us to see each other for what each individual is: a child of God, and we do not focus on differences among the team. Our team is not one that looks down on others outside of our team, but gladly welcomes and encourages others to join. When you meet someone for the first time and find out they are on our team, are you overjoyed or do you look for differences? The Men's Ministry Department will be hosting young men's lunch on August 13, 2016, after Divine Service. 5 ANNOUNCEMENTS STEWARDSHIP FEATURE Managing Your Finances " Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth" 3 John 2 Lessons I ve Learned From Tithing by Norman Brown I believed the prophet Malachi when he said that the Lord pours out blessings to those who return a faithful tithe. I had no problem believing that then, but as I grew older I learned a few things God doesn t want my money. He wants my heart and He is faithful. Tithing is about not what we can give to God. It is about what God can give us when we let go and open ourselves up to Him to fill us. The practice of tithing frees us from the grip of materialism and greed. It teaches us that it is not what we own that makes us happy. It is possible to be happy and content with less. Enjoy the important things of life faith, service, and relationships. We are merely stewards of blessings, and they are meant to be used to bless others. Return a faithful tithe and receive the blessings. Church Budget: Please support the work of the Toronto West Seventh-day Adventist Church. The church recommends that you give an amount to local church budget equivalent to 5% of your income.
