Now there is one more area where God wants to use us to build their hope, and that's when God chooses to solve their problems in ways that wouldn't be of their own choosing. For instance, there are physical problems our children could have that might handicap their ability to function on an equal plane with their peers. Sometimes inadequacy hits them at the intellectual level. They find that no matter how hard they apply themselves, they struggle to rise above average. Sometimes it's a relational dilemma they can't solve. Maybe it's a coach, teacher, or boss who simply decides to write them off for no defensible reason. Or maybe it's a boyfriend or girlfriend who doesn't care for them anymore. In these types of scenarios, they are hoping for a physical miracle, an intellectual epiphany, or a relational windfall to suddenly make everything right. The God we trust in doesn't always deal with these problems in ways we expect or hope for. We often ignore bleeding or tender gums, while an irritation or pain elsewhere in the body would mean a trip to the doctor. Poor oral health can affect a person's quality of life. Oral pain, missing teeth or oral infections can influence the way a person speaks, eats and socializes. These oral health problems can reduce a person's quality of life by affecting their physical, mental and social well-being. The University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry s Continuing Dental Education Department is recruiting volunteers to act as patients in an upcoming program! Licensed Dentists will be administering a moderate sedation to patient volunteers under the supervision of faculty professionals. The program is designed to teach practicing dentists to provide sleep dentistry to patients that find dental treatment to be very stressful. Treatments performed are in the areas of cleanings, and small fillings only. Please note: Must be 18 years and older to apply and have no significant health issues. Not all patients who apply will be accepted. Patients will be screened on their suitability to the goals of the educational program. Because it is not of human origin nor can it be understood by the flesh, but by the Spirit of God. by Kenroy H. Jones How is the fear of the Lord the beginning of wisdom? Answer: Proverbs 9:10 (NET) says, The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One understands. Basically, this verse teaches that the fear of God is foundational to true WISDOM and all other types of learning are worthless unless built upon knowledge of the Lord. Many other passages talk about the fear of the Lord (e.g. Psalms 111; Proverbs 1:7; 14:27; 15:33. Before we can understand how the fear of the Lord leads to wisdom, we need to define what the Bible knowledge means by fear in this context. 8
