2 NOTE: Items to be included in the weekly bulletin should be given to our church secretary, Rhoda Slichenmyer, by Thursday morning each week. Please include all the necessary information in writing. PLEASE SUPPORT our WCM program by recycling your Wal-Mart bags and ink cartridges. The drop off containers are located by the downstairs door. Money collected from recycling is used to purchase toys, educational materials and supplies for the preschool A RECYCLING BIN (to benefit the Lion s Club) for the collection of used batteries is by the plastic bags, used ink cartridge container by the double doors downstairs. WE ARE PLANNING an overnight lock-in for the youth of Trinity, 1st grade thru 6th grade. Games and food are being planned so please come and plan on having lots of fun. This will be Saturday night Oct. 13. We will spend Saturday night at the church and then be there for the worship service on Sunday morning. Plan on coming about 6:30 p.m. and we will start with supper and then play games and have snacks. Don't forget your sleeping bags so that we can get a little bit of sleep before church on Sunday morning. RSVP to Sue Crum at or Carol Diel at or the church office at MAY GOD COMFORT the family of Dorothy Evelyn Wirt who passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 4 th at CRMH. Dorothy was the mother of Cindy Vaughn of Trinity. Funeral services will be Monday, Sept :00 a.m. at Kistler-Patterson Funeral with visitation one hour earlier. Burial will be in Oblong, Il. TO MY TRINITY FAMILY: Thank you for your kindness and thoughtfulness during my mother s death. The flowers sent to my home were beautiful. Also, my family greatly appreciated being able to come to the church for lunch following mom s funeral. It gave the four age five and unders an opportunity to let off some steam, and they certainly did before proceeding to Oblong for the burial. The food was delicious, with particular thanks to Darlene, Elaine, Carol, and Rhoda. Much appreciation and love, Cindy Vaughn, and the Evelyn Wirt family. BIBLE STUDY will be on the second & fourth Sundays of October at 6:30 p.m. Join us on October 10 & 24. Everyone is welcome. REHEARSAL for choir (7:00) and the Bell Choir (6:00) will be on Wednesdays, October 10 & 17 th at the First Presbyterian Church. If you would like more informtion on the choirs, please call Andrew Flynn at CONFIRMATION will begin for 7, 8, 9, and 10 graders on Sunday, October 7 th at 5:30 pm. Pizza and drinks will be provided. Confirmation classes for 8 th through 10 grade will be the first and third Sundays of each month. 7 th grade will meet on the first Sunday of the month only. All confirmands 8 th and up will be confirmed in April All 7 th grade students will be confirmed in April We will be back on our usual schedule of two year confirmation classes for 7 th and 8 th grads. If you have questions, please contact Karyn St.Pierre. OUTSIDE DOOR KEYS: Trinity was broken into last Sunday evening, Sept. 23 rd. The outside door keys were stolen from the office which made it necessary to re-key the locks. If you have an outside door key now, it will not work. If it is necessary for you to have a key, please check with the church office. GOOD SAMARITAN will not close the end of November as reported. Due to volunteer support, etc. the ministry will remain open. VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED: We are seeking individuals who would be interested in running the slides/sound on Sunday mornings. Also, we have a special need for members to join our visitation team to visit and give communion to shut-ins. Training is provided. Please join us in this ministry. Thank you to everyone who brought items for "God's Work - Our Hands" Sunday. If you want to donate any additional items for the FROG bags that Trinity is assembling for chemo patients at RMH, they may be brought into the church office anytime.
