3 We are rehearsing special music for Christmas Eve and for our hymn festival on the Sunday after Christmas at our regular choir rehearsals. Christmas music is practiced during the first 15 minutes of these rehearsals. If you can not practice at the beginning of our rehearsals but would like to participate, please let me know and I will schedule a few Sunday morning rehearsals in December. During Advent, rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings: Handbells 5:30-6:00 PM Senior Choir will rehearse following the worship service - Jack Charles, Director of Music Ministry

6 Thank you to everyone who donated food to our Thanksgiving Food Drive. The food was delivered to Jefferson Place, PACS, and Good Samaritan Shelter. The residents and staff from the shelters were so appreciative and thankful for Centennial s generosity. Special thanks to those who helped deliver three full truck loads of food, including Ed & Deanna Kalmbach, Beth Wise, John Miller, Bill Donovan, and Paul Breitegam. Special thanks to Beth Wise for coordinating the Fall Food Drive again this year.

7 PRAYER LIST Procedures to request that a name is added to the prayer list are as follows: - Request permission from the individual in need of prayer (as requested by our Synod) - Send an to: Prayers@centenniallutheran.org or Phone: Joanne Cantwell at or Jerene Gladfelter at List the individual s name and BRIEF description of situation (i.e. chemo, dementia, auto accident, comfort and peace, etc.) - Name of requester and association (brother, co-worker, friend, etc.) - Please advise us when a prayer request is no longer valid A new prayer list is issued at the beginning of each month as a bulletin insert. In addition, we have an list of individuals desiring to be on the Prayer Chain to receive these requests. Please update us by the 25th of each month to ensure that your request is listed. If you have not signed up previously and wish to be on the Prayer Chain to receive immediate prayer requests other than those listed monthly, please contact Joanne ( ) or Jerene ( ) with your address or telephone number. 8 ANNOUNCEMENTS Hospitalizations or Pastoral Needs Please notify us if you or a family member is hospitalized and/or in need of a pastoral call or visit. We have no other way of knowing of a hospitalization or a pastoral need. You may contact the church office at or call Pastor Jerry on his cell phone at Children s Choir We would like to invite all school-aged children to join a special choir that will sing on the first Sunday after Christmas, December 31 st. We will rehearse immediately after the worship service for the next two Sundays. Please meet at the front of the church around the piano. Rehearsals will take no more than 15 minutes. Christmas Caroling with Zion & St. Peter s on Friday, December 15. Meet in front of Colonial Theater in Phoenixville at 7:30 PM. Everyone welcome!! Need a Unique Christmas Gift? We still have a few adorable hymnal angels crafted out of the green LBW hymnals available for purchase ($12). The angels are in the lobby and you may put your payment in the offering plate in an envelope marked hymnal angel or give your payment to Rebecca in the office. Book Drive Books will be delivered to the children at the Phoenixville Area Children s Learning Center Monday, December 18. Youth and adults are asked to help with the delivery of books as well as reading to the children. Meet at the church at 9:30 AM. Please see Beth Wise with any questions ( ). Christmas Families Sign up in lobby to provide gifts for local families in need. Please bring your labeled and wrapped gifts by Sunday, December 17.

9 Choir Brunch will be held at the home of Jack & Andrea Charles on Saturday, December 23 at 11 AM. All choir members as well as those how have participated in special music throughout the year are invited. Annual Reports Attention Ministry Leaders! Please have your annual reports to Rebecca in the office by the end of the year. Thank you! Care Team ministers to members of our congregation who are homebound. If you are in need of services from the Care Team or know of a member who may need assistance, please contact Care Team co-leaders Deanna Kalmbach ( ) and Diana Moffett ( ).
