1 THE TRINITY LUTHERAN June, 2018 Trinity s 10 th Annual All Church Retreat. June 1, 2 & 3 at Crest Haven Family Center We ll enjoy plenty of fellowship, food, fun, relaxation, quiet time, campfires, songs and more! All are welcome!

2 VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL: A coordinator and helpers are needed for this summer s Vacation Bible School at Trinity. Our church has been known for its wonderful Bible School for many years and we hope to continue this tradition. We are fortunate to have people who volunteer from Trinity, First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, First Presbyterian Church, and Saron Church but we have to have a coordinator. We will be having a meeting soon to discuss the possibilities and hope to have someone come forward to serve. VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED: We are seeking individuals who would be interested in running the slides/sound on Sunday mornings. Also, we need individuals to be greeters, lectors, and communion assistants. Please call the church office or sign up on the green sheet. Thank you. PLEASE SUPPORT our WCM program by recycling your Wal-Mart bags and ink cartridges. The drop off containers are located by the downstairs door. Money collected from recycling is used to purchase toys, educational materials and supplies for the preschool. PLEASE DO NOT BRING LARGE TONER CARTRIDGES. WE CAN ONLY RECYCLE THE SMALL INK CARTRIDGES. Thank you. CONVALESCING MEALS: If you are willing to occasionally provide meals for convalescents, please call at Thank you. WEEKDAY CHILDREN S MINISTRY is seeking two co-teachers for the Mom s Morning Out program. The position is for the school year. Please contact Vicki Fehrenbacher at BIBLE STUDY will be on June 13 th & 27 th at 6:30 p.m. this month. Everyone is welcome whether they are able to attend every time or not. Join us for discussion on June 13 th. MAY GOD COMFORT the family of Robert Bob Leist of Olney who died Monday, May 7 th at his home. The funeral was held at the Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home on Saturday, May 12. Bob was the brother of Norma Jean Scherer of Trinity. THANK YOU for the prayers, cards, phone calls, food and the beautiful flower arrangement while recovering from knee replacement. Linda Miller Emily Hone and Tyler Stuck would like to invite the members of Trinity to their wedding at 2:00 o clock in the afternoon, Saturday, June 2 nd The invitation is posted in the narthex on the left-hand bulletin board (as you enter the church). Please come and celebrate with them as they establish a new family in Christ. PASTOR JAMES will be on vacation beginning June 10 through July 1. He will be back with us on Sunday, July 8 th. Rev. Pam L from the First Presbyterian Church will lead our service on June 10, Larry Saler on June 17 th, Rev. Nancy Johns on June 24 th, and Karyn St. Pierre will lead our service July 1 which will be outdoors at the pavilion and will be followed by a carry in brunch. Come join us for worship! VOLUNTEERS: If anyone would like to volunteer to plant flowers under the Trinity Church sign this year, please contact the office. THIS WEEK-END! The all-church retreat will be on Friday, June 1 st, Saturday, June 2 nd, and Sunday June 3 rd at the Crest Haven Family Center. The speaker this year is Tim Schnautz and Barb Stiff will be leading the children s activities.

Committee will meet on June 10 * Pastor James will be on vacation for four weeks beginning June 10 * Property Committee reported several projects needing attention: north side roof on pavilion, resealing the parking lot, removal of gum trees, duct work in the furnace room *The couple managing Good Samaritan is retiring. New volunteer management people are needed * WCM is seeking MMO teachers for the next school year. Two community days at Monical s pizza is planned this summer with a percentage of sales going to WCM * A committee is working on finding a coordinator for VBS.
