On Recommendation No.8. being submitted, it was esolved: "THAT the application fo pemission to eect a shed at 138 Gowie Steet be efused because of the unsuitability of the mateialn. Afte futhe consideation, it was then esolved that the Woks, Building and Paks Committee's Repot as a whole, with the amendment of Re comme ndation No.8, be eceived and adopted and the ecommendations caied into effect. Council's Auditos, Messs Stewat and Cadogan, Chateed Accountants (Austali~, submitted thei epot of having completed the audit of the Council's Accounts f o the half yea ended 31st Decembe, 1944, cetifying that, in thei opinion, all books and accounts had been popely kept. Resolved: "THAT the Auditos' Repot be eceived and adopted and the Council congatulate the staff on the excellent epot submitted by the Auditos." The Enginee submitted a epot of woks pogess duing the past two weeks, and it was esolved that the Enginee's epot be eceived and adopted. The Health Inspecto submitted his epot in accodance with Folios 20, 21, 22 and 23 of the Health Inspecto's epot book and it was esolved that the epot be eceived and adopted. The Building Inspecto submitted applications fo appoval fo buildings:- (a) 44/45 Regent Steet, Alteations to windows and fanlight. (b) 13 Libety Steet, alteations to bathoom. Reply : "Aluminium nameplates ae unpocuable. Mettes state that the manufactue of enamel nameplates is most unlikely. They would quote on a definite ode but will not gua antee to cay out the job. " Aldeman Geenup asked: (a) That the Woks Committee inspect Susan, Bucknell and Fitzoy Steets. Aldeman Geenup asked if Aldeman (Ms) Fowle could give any infomation in connection with the independent examination of Boyd Sinclai o any infomation at all on any mattes affecting the Boyd Sinclai case. :Wll's. Fowle eplied tl:a t the Ameican psychiatists would not be able to examine Boyd Sinclai, but she was hopeful that two doctos would shotly make an examination.
