If you are looking for a place where Christ s love is evident and God s grace is offered to all, then I hope you will join us for worship and fellowship. 6 Opportunities to Serve There are always many opportunities to serve at Fort Des Moines. There are a few possibilities listed below, but you are not limited to these. If you have a passion for a certain kind of service or feel God might be calling you to some specific area, please let us know. If you have a particular date that you know would work well for you to be involved in some of these, let us know that as well. Circle the ones that interest you. Thank you. Coffee hour treats were a team effort once again. Items served were anonymously left in the freezer! Have you ever thought, I could do that! when you re listening to someone read the lessons? Let the office know (ftdsmumc@qwestoffice.net or ) that you want to be added to that list of volunteers. We are in need of at least 2 more people but we ll take everyone that steps forward! The Nominating Committee will be meeting after the worship service. The September/October issue of the Upper Room Devotional is on the devotional rack. Take your copy home today. Next Sunday marks the beginning of the Fall Term for Sunday School. The Adult Sunday School Class meets in the library at 11:00 a.m. and the Youth Sunday School Class meets in the Conference Room at 11:00 a.m. Everyone is invited! Next Sunday, Sept. 10, marks the completion of the Walk Like Paul study. Will you have traversed the 600+ miles that Paul traveled? Tuesday Bible Study will resume next Tuesday, Sept. 12, at 11:00 a.m., in the church library. First Thessalonians is considered the first existing letter Paul wrote and the oldest book in the New Testament. Come and join in studying Paul s first letter to the Thessalonians!
