Wet Weather, Becomng Wetter And Wetter For Weekend Accordng to the latest reports avalable early ths evenng from Fennell's and Central Dstrbutng, both far-famed weather experts for all Technology partes, the outlook for the weather for ths weekend s very favorable. Fearng to run the work of hs fourth term n.en stay as presdent by the scandal of a dance that made money, Chlly contracted Mller last evenng and sgned hm up at a reported sum of $32,250. Relable sources ndcate that there s a strong possblty that ths money wll be pad Mller n the form of defense stamps bought from Cutoff Bones, and Button M. Rowes, two members of the Junor class who recently left Tech to work for the Treasury Department as Defense Stamps salesmen. Ths wll be Glenn Mller's frst appearance at Tech snce Frday, October 28, 1938, when he played at the Feld Day Dance. Maron Hutton, Mller's present snger, also appeared wth hm at that tme. Early ths evenng n a hasty telephone ntervew wth The Tech, Mss Hutton, at present n New York, stated that she s "eagerly lookng forward to returnng to Tech."

Nght Edtor: Bruce Fabens, -~, WE GVE VOO DOO A CHANCE A rvalry, more ntense than the Martn-Coy famly feud and more one-sded than the Amercan League, has exsted for many years between The Tech, father and guardan sprt of all Technology publcatons, and Voo Doo, the prodgal son. The. Tech has been challenged to football games, basketball.games, baseball games, bowlng matches, and crap-shootng contests by -the ambtous but msguded members of Phos's followng. And never once: has The Tech faled to retalate wth as severe a trouncng as ever was admnstered to any contngent, Brooklyn or otherwse. Realzng that such Amercan games as those mentoned above may possbly be as far removed from Voo Doo's feld as Wrtng a humor magazne, The Tech has surrendered, after much medtaton and consderaton, to an mpulse that has long.been wth us. Although we are probably jeopardzng our perfect record of no losses to Voo Doo teams n twenty years of colpetton,' we have decded to toss cauton to the four wnds, crawl over the fence, and nvade Phos's own backyard. As a gesture of typcal The Tech sportsmanshp, we wll agree, f Voo Doo so desres, to meet her representatves n a beer-drnkng bout, a contest whch,' we feel, wll gve every possble advantage to the ale-lovng, tavern-frequentng play boys of Too Doo. To Messrs. Metzger, Sptz, and Swanberg, we address our challenge. We offer to meet upon any feld of battle they desgnate a squad composed of any number of men they wsh at any tme they desre. We nsst, however, upon one rgd lmtaton to Voo Doo's actvtes n the match; we wll permt no rngers whose names are put n the masthead smply to provde materal for bolsterng Phos's unsklled, doomed-to-defeat recruts.
