Estabrook attended St. Bonaventure University, New York Christ the King Seminary, East Auroram, New York and the Jesuit School Of Theology, Berkely, California. Bishop Estabrook was ordained to the priesthood (for the Diocese of Albany) on 30 May 1969 at the mmaculate Conception Cathedral in Albany, New York. From he served at St. Vincent DePaul Parish, Albany. From he served as the Director of the Family Life Bureau for the Diocese of Albany. Bishop Estabrook entered the US Navy on 4 July From he served Chaplain at NAS Jacksonville, FL. From he served as Fleet Religious Support Ships Chaplain at Mayport, FL. From Bishop Estabrook served as Marine Corps Chaplain at MCDEC Quantico, VA. n 1983 he was a student at Armed Forces Staff College, Norfolk, VA. From he served in Recruitment and Endorsing Agents with the Navy Chief of Chaplains Office in Washington, DC. From he served as Chaplain on the USS Carl Vinson [CVN 70]. n 1988 he served as a Chaplain at the US Naval Hospital, Oakland, California. From he was a student in ethics at the Jesuit School of Theology, Berkeley, California. From he served as Chaplain at NAS Sigonella, taly. From Bishop Estabrook was a Basic Course Officer at NETC in Newport, Rhode sland, From he served as Executive Assistant in the Navy Chief of Chaplains Office in Washington, DC. From Bishop Estabrook served as Pacific Fleet Chaplain and Pacific Command Chaplain in the Commander Pacific Fleet based in Hawaii. From he served as Command Chaplain at Marine Corps Base Hawaii. Bishop Estabrook retired 17 June 2004 in the rank of Captain. Bishop Estabrook was ordained as a Bishop by Archbishop Edwin F. O'Brien at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the mmaculate Conception in Washington, DC on 3 July Bishop Estabrook is the Vicar of Evangelization and currently serves as the Episcopal advisor to the National Catholic Young Adult Ministry Association (NCYAMA). 7

12 Accomplishments Last Month Monday January 30, District Master Cy Alba, with assistance from Associate District Marshal SK PFN Guillermo Giandoni conducted the Renewal of Obligations for the Potomac Assembly. Thursday February 9, District Master Cy Alba, Associate District Marshal SK PFN Guillermo Giandoni and the following members of the Potomac Assembly Color Corps were Honor Guard for the Reception of the Body and Evening Prayer for Auxiliary Bishop Joseph W. Estabrook: SK PGK Bud Powers, Our Captain SK PGK Tom Fahey, SK FN Richard Risdon, SK PFN PGK Donald Logeais, SK Tom Kaiser, SK PGK Ray Duff and SK John Dougherty. Thursday February 9, The following members of the Potomac Assembly Color Corps were Honor Guard for the Night Watch for Auxiliary Bishop Joseph W. 13 Accomplishments Last Month Monday February , the following members of the Potomac Assembly Corps marched in the Alexandria George Washington (GW) Parade: SK FN Richard Risdon, SK PFN PGK Don Logeais, SK PFN Lee Wallis, SK PGK Tom Fahey, SK PFN PGK David Lewis, SK Paul Kayanan, SK PGK Cliff Conway, SK PGK Alfred Flowers, Sr., SK Wilson Delaguila and SK Nate Murray. Monday February , Potomac Assembly members: SK Marvin Spychaj transported the Chili that he had cooked a few days before, for the marchers returning from the GW Parade; SK Bill Hixon and his wife Loraine transported the hot dogs, buns, drinks, the supplies etc. to St. Mary s School Cafeteria for the refreshments for the Marchers. Monday February , SK Bill Hixon and his wife Loraine, SK Marvin Spychaj, and SK Fred Hundemer cleaned the food area, set up the refreshments, reheated the chili, cooked the hot dogs, served the food and drinks to all the marchers after the GW parade and cleaned up the total kitchen and cafeteria area after everyone had eaten. 13

14 Faithful Navigator s Comments Dear Brother Knights, Friends and Families; This turned out to be a very busy Month for the Assembly. t started on Feb. 4 th when we were notified that Auxiliary Bishop Joseph W. Estabrook of the U.S. Archdiocese for the Military Services had passed away and that the funeral Mass would take place at Good Shepherd Church, where Bishop Estabrook had resided for eight years. We are asked to provide an Honor Guard for Reception of the Body and Evening Prayer on Thursday February 9. We were also asked to Stand Watch through the night with Bishop Estabrook. With the assistance of our District Master Cy Alba, and Associate District Marshal SK Guillermo Giandoni, we had 16 Sir Knights from our Assembly that answered the Call. would like to personally thanking the following SK s for doing double hitters that night and stayed with the Bishop: SK PGK Tom Fahey, SK John Dougherty and SK PGK Ray Duff. Then on Saturday February 11, 2012, The Potomac Assembly Color Guard was asked to present the colors at the Opening Ceremony of the Special Olympics at Mount Vernon ce Rink. Finally on Monday February 20, 2012, members of the Potomac Assembly Corps marched in the Alexandria George Washington (GW) Parade. would like to Thank SK Bill Hixon and his wife Loraine for transported the hot dogs, buns, drinks, the supplies to St. Mary s School Cafeteria for the Marchers. SK Marvin Spychaj transported and helped serve the Chili that he had cooked a few days before.
