ktlmzc hnnmcw :: Hm sse ]{XnI BKÃv 2016 SPECIAL STORY read more about the fascinating bible story... >> ABOUT THE ARK The Ark Encounter, opened phase one on July 7, 2016, is a one-of-a-kind, historically themed attraction. In an entertaining, educational, and immersive way, it presents a number of historical events centered on Noah s Ark as recorded in the Bible. As the largest timber-frame structure in the world, the 510-foot-long full-size Ark is designed to be family-oriented, historically authentic, and environmentally friendly. Additional phases will be added over the years. The Ark Encounter, as sister attraction of the popular Creation Museum, is a Christian evangelistic outreach intended to bring the Ark of Noah s day to life. Located in Williamstown, Kentucky (south of Cincinnati and 40 miles from the Creation Museum), the Ark equips visitors to understand the reality of the events that are recorded in the book of Genesis: The global Flood did happen as an act of God s judgment. Noah and his family really did build a ship of the same size and dimensions as written in Genesis 6. All of the animals brought by God to Noah did fit inside the Ark. Noah and his family could care for all of the animals while they were on the Ark. The Flood of Noah s day was a worldwide catastrophic event that resulted in large-scale human and animal death, leaving behind many of the plant and animal fossils and landforms we see today. God saved Noah and his family and the animals on the Ark, just as He had promised. The Ark Encounter takes advantage of the latest environmental technologies to be good stewards of creation. Additional future phases for the attraction include a pre-flood walled city, the Tower of Babel, a first-century village, a journey in history from Abraham to the parting of the Red Sea, a walk-through aviary, an expanded petting zoo, and other attractions that uphold the truth of God s Word. The Ark Encounter, as sister attraction of the popular Creation Museum, is a Christian evangelistic outreach intended to bring the Ark of Noah s day to life. 21

ktlmzc hnnmcw :: Hm sse ]{XnI BKÃv 2016 THE BIBLE S TRUE STORY OF NOAH S ARK Noah s Ark is one of the few stories most people recognize. The beloved child s tale of an overstuffed bathtub toy filled with all sorts of lovable creatures has been a favorite of many. But how does this story compare with the historical account recorded for us in the Bible? A Wicked World The Lord saw how utterly wicked people on earth had become; every thought was only evil all the time. So God said, I will destroy from the earth the people I have created. And with them, the animals, birds, and creeping things (Genesis 6:5 7). Noah Pleases God But Noah found favor with God for he alone was righteous among the people of his day. Noah had three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth. And God said to him, I will establish My covenant with you; you will go into the ark with your wife, your sons, and their wives (Genesis 6:8 10, 18). Noah Builds an Ark God said to Noah, I am going to destroy all flesh because the world is full of violence. Build an ark of gopherwood, with rooms inside, three decks, and a door. Cover it inside and out with pitch. And Noah did exactly as God commanded him (Genesis 6:13 22). The Animals Come to Noah God also told Noah, Bring with you in the A Flood Covers the Earth Then the Flood began. The fountains of the deep broke open, and the windows of heaven were opened. Rain poured for forty days and forty nights. The waters rose until every high hill on the earth was covered. Everything that lived on land perished in the raging floodwaters (Genesis 7:17 24). The Great Flood Subsides The waters flooded the earth for one hundred and fifty days. And God remembered Noah and the animals on the Ark. The waters receded and the Ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat (Genesis 8:1 5). Noah Sends Out a Dove After sending out a raven, Noah sent out a dove to see if there was dry ground. But it came back having found nowhere to perch. After seven days, Noah sent it back out and it came back with a fresh olive leaf in its mouth. And Noah knew the ground was drying (Genesis 8:6 12). Noah Leaves the Ark Then God told Noah, Come out of the ark. And bring the animals with you so they can be fruitful and multiply and ark two of every kind of land animal after their kind and bird after their kind to keep them alive, for I am sending a flood to destroy the earth (Genesis 7:1 5). Noah and Family Enter the Ark So Noah and his family went into the Ark because of the coming Flood. And every land animal after its kind went with them, two by two, male and female, just as God had commanded. And the Lord shut the door (Genesis 7:7 16). fill the earth. So Noah and his family came out with all the animals (Genesis 8:13 19). God s Promise Not to Flood the Earth Again Then Noah built an altar and offered burnt offerings to the Lord on it. And God said, Never again will I curse the ground because of man or send a flood to destroy all living things, even though mankind s heart is evil from childhood. And God blessed Noah and his family saying, Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth (Genesis 8:20 22). BIBLICAL NOAH'S FLOOD Today the world is covered with billions of fossils in rock layers laid down by water even on top of mountains. There are also hundreds of flood legends from around the globe that are remarkably similar to the Bible s account. God's Word plainly teaches that the Flood of Noah was global in extent. 25

Brethren Thoughts :: E-Journal - August 2016 WORLD FLOOD MYTHS Did you know there are over 200 myths from all over the world about a major Flood? If a worldwide Flood never happened, then why are there so many stories about it? How Old Is the Story? Since the Bible is God s Word, we can know that the true account was recorded by Moses and is found in Genesis 6 9. The many flood myths are retellings of the real event that have been distorted through centuries of passing down information. The earliest records of the event date back two millennia before Jesus was born. When Did the Flood Myths Begin? The oldest known recording of a global flood is the Babylonian Epic of Gilgamesh from the eighteenth century BC. Remember that being dated older than Moses s writings only confirms that this tablet was written earlier, not that its contents are original or correct. Why Are These Myths Similar? Noah s descendants stayed together until God confused their languages at Babel and they scattered. As the various people groups spread around the globe, the story of the Flood was shared, until it became distorted and embedded in their respective histories. The Babylonian Flood Myth The Epic of Gilgamesh, a 12-tablet poem, is the most-cited myth people use to discredit the biblical account of Noah. The style is of an epic poem, and most of it has nothing to do with a flood, containing couplets and phrases that seem to point to recited fiction. Clearly Fiction The Gilgamesh boat is cube-shaped, which would be deadly for its occupants in rough seas. Only seven days were given for building it as well as to gather all the animals. Also, only seven days of rainfall covered the earth, and fickle gods destroy mankind but later give immortality to another. Other Notable Flood Myths Although many other myths aren t as close a match and were recorded later, they can point to a universal truth there was a worldwide flood in the ancient past. Clearly truth and accuracy were not of great concern in these Hawaii A man named Nu-u made a great canoe with a house on it and filled it with animals. In this story, the waters came up over all the earth and killed all the people; only Nu-u and his family were saved.distortions of Noah s Flood, however, as some aspects of these myths are quite absurd. China One of the Chinese legends explains that the flood was caused by an argument between a crab and a bird. Fuhi, his wife, three sons, and three daughters escaped a great flood and were the only people alive on earth. After the great flood, they repopulated the world. Greece There is more than one Greek flood myth, but the one that most likely corresponds to Noah s Flood is about Deucalion who is told to build a chest to survive a flood. Some men on high mountains also survive, though. NON-FICTION The language of Genesis 6 9 is descriptive and matter-offact in stating the details about ancient cultures, and it freely acknowledges the shortcomings of its heroes. Such honesty and attention to detail is highly unusual in ancient mythology, but appropriate for true history. NOAH IN THE BIBLE In the midst of an increasingly evil world, Noah was a faithful man who walked with God. He obeyed God's command to build a massive Ark for the saving of his family and all kinds of land-dwelling, air-breathing animals. After the worldwide Flood, Noah's family repopulated the earth. But what was his life like prior to the Flood, what did he look like, and what did he do for a living? Come explore more about Noah and his family. The Days of Noah's Life What was it like to live in the world before the Flood? What kinds of technology did they have? Although the Curse of Genesis 3 hadn t been in effect very long, working the land for food was hard (Genesis 5:29). 26

ktlmzc hnnmcw :: Hm sse ]{XnI BKÃv 2016 How Primitive Was It Back Then? We don t have any reason to doubt that technology w a s a regular part of life in Noah s day. In fact, the Bible describes people before the Flood making musical instruments and forging tools of bronze and iron (Genesis 4:22). Noah s Early Days In Noah s youth, he perhaps had some godly influences, particularly from his father Lamech and grandfather Methuselah. His father s words in Genesis 5:29 may indicate that they worked on a farm. As It Was in the Days of Noah Even the New Testament tells us about the days of Noah. Luke 17:27 says: They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark. NOAH'S WIFE Noah s wife is one of the more overlooked characters of the Bible, considering every one of us contains some of her DNA! But what would she have looked like, and what can we find out about her? How Old Was Noah s Wife? If she were near Noah s age, she could have been 600 years old when she boarded the Ark! But even if she were, she probably aged quite a bit better than we do today What Did She Look Like? We know Noah s wife was old enough to have three grown children, and she is an ancestor of every person on earth. She probably had a mixture of traits that some might associate with race, so it is likely that she was neither particularly pale nor dark. What Did She Do? It s not unreasonable to think she helped quite a bit with getting the Ark ready for the Flood. Although she could have been quite advanced in age compared to our standards, she was probably quite active and fit. Do We Even Know Her Name? The Bible does not mention her by name so we cannot know for certain, but this has not stopped people from NOAH'S FAMILY Noah had a wife and three sons, all of whom lived on the Ark. Sons of Noah: Shem, Ham, and Japheth Noah wasn t exactly a spring chicken when he and Mrs. Noah had their children. He was around 500 years old! But Noah Found Grace Unlike the people around him, Noah pleased God, and God made a covenant with Noah to save him, his family, and at least two of every kind of creature to replenish the earth. Building An Ark If Noah didn t already have carpentry or shipbuilding skills (how many trades could you learn in over 500 years?), he was surely an expert by the time he stood aboard this three-story masterpiece. Since he built it in great reverence (Hebrews 11:7), it may have taken decades to finish the Ark. A Great Spectacle We don t know how many people saw Noah build the Ark, but surely some did over decades and as the size made it unmissable. The Bible calls Noah a preacher of righteousness (2 Peter 2:5). He likely implored people to be saved before the Flood came. speculating. The most common name given to her is Naamah, which is taken from Genesis 4:22. This guess is reflected in some ancient books outside of the Bible. Another popular name found in ancient writings is Emzara. What Does the Bible Say About Noah s Wife? She is merely referred to as Noah s wife the five times she is specifically mentioned (Genesis 6:18; 7:7, 13; 8:16, 18). The rest we must take from what we know about her being on the Ark and being the matriarch of the small family that would repopulate the entire world. Are We Related? While we can all be traced back ultimately to Adam and Eve, we can look to Noah and his wife as humanity s most recent common ancestors. Other Stories about Mrs. Noah Several ancient Jewish texts not included in the canon of Scripture have other details about her. But, sadly, none of these are inspired or even necessarily reliable sources. More Than a Story There are perhaps more secular stories about Noah s Flood than any other major Bible topic. But the biblical account of Noah s family and how they prepared for and survived the Flood and its aftermath is more than just a story. It s actual history. Perhaps God withheld children from them for many years or perhaps Noah married late. We just don t know. How Old Were Noah s Sons? Japheth was probably 100 years old when the Flood came. Based on the genealogy in Genesis 11, it seems like Shem would have been about two years younger. Ham was the youngest brother, but we are not told how much younger he was.. 27

Brethren Thoughts :: E-Journal - August 2016 What Did They Look Like? Like their parents, they were likely what we at Ark Encounter call middle brown neither pale nor very dark. Although they would have been near 100 years old when they boarded the Ark, they were fit men in their prime. What Does the Bible Say About Noah s Sons? The Bible does not tell us much about Noah s sons until after they left the Ark, and then it is only about their responses to an unfortunate situation. And like their mother, their wives are unnamed in Scripture. What were Japheth, Shem, and Ham like prior to and during the Flood? We ve had to make some educated guesses about them and their wives. Japheth We decided to make Japheth the son who excelled in farming. He is adventurous and looks forward to the future. His wife, Rayneh, is artistic and makes crafts. In her limited spare time, she enjoys sketching and painting the Ark s animals. Shem Shem s descendants included shepherds like Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, and eventually the Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ. As such, we depict Shem as the expert in caring for animals with a special interest in learning about God s truth. His wife, Ar yel, is a perfect match for him. She is intelligent, logical, and also enjoys studying. Ham Noah was obviously gifted in construction, so we decided that this trait should be passed on to his youngest son. Ham enjoys building things with wood and metal, and he is the most ambitious of the sons. His wife, Kezia, is also a hard worker, and she is more interested than the other women in dressing up and looking her best. Who s Related to Whom? We re all related. While we all can all be traced back ultimately to Adam and Eve, Noah s sons all bore the DNA of Noah and his wife. Together, their DNA and that of their wives generated humanity s entire genome. NOAH S FAMILY TREE Noah s family tree had some big names: Adam (yes, from the Garden of Eden), Enoch (the one that didn t die), and Methuselah (the oldest man ever recorded), to name a few! And did you know there were only nine generations before him? Lamech Noah s father was Lamech, not to be confused with Cain s descendant who was the first known polygamist. We don t have many details about Noah s father, but when Noah was born, he said: This one will comfort us concerning our work and the toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord has cursed. Methuselah Longevity ran in Noah s genes! Methuselah, his grandfather, lived 969 years. He may have been one of the last people to die before the Flood. Noah s Genealogy Since Noah was born in the tenth generation and people typically lived years, Noah could ve had some pretty old family members visit at family reunions. Everyone was pretty closely related anyway! It must have burdened Noah to see so many relatives rejecting the God who had created them only a few generations ago. Great (x7) Grandpa Adam That s right, Adam was only Noah s greatgreat-great-great-great-great-great grandpa. In fact, Adam, since he lived to be 930, almost lived long enough to meet Noah. Adam was alive when Noah s father was born, so it s possible that they knew each other. Enoch Although Noah s great-great-great-greatgreat grandfather was still around when Noah was young, his great grandfather, Enoch, was already gone. But not dead! The Bible says that God took him in Genesis 5, and that he walked with God. Hebrews 11:5 says he did not see death. Did you know that Noah s grandfather Methuselah lived 969 years - the longest that any man ever lived on earth? Important Cargo The Ark was not only home to representatives of all land-dwelling, air-breathing animal kinds. It was also home to Shem, who would become the great (x7) grandfather of Abraham, through whom the whole world would be blessed in his descendant, Jesus Christ. 28

ktlmzc hnnmcw :: Hm sse ]{XnI BKÃv 2016 HOW BIG WAS NOAH S ARK? God gave Noah the dimensions for the Ark in cubits. And this is how you shall make it: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits. (Genesis 6:15) How Long Was the Ark? At approximately 510 feet long, it would take nearly one and a half football fields to equal the Ark s length. That s big enough that NASA could lay three space shuttles - nose to tail - on the Ark s roof! How Tall Was the Ark? The roof of Noah s Ark was more than 50 feet from the ground higher than a modern four-story house. That s plenty of space for three extra-tall inner decks as the Bible describes. Truckloads of Cargo Space The Ark had the same storage capacity as about 500 standard semi-trailers. A standard livestock trailer holds about 250 sheep, so the Ark had the capacity to hold at least 120,000 sheep. Biggest Wooden Ship Ever? Few wooden ships have ever come close to the size of Noah s Ark. One possible challenger is the Chinese treasure ships of Zheng He in the 1400s. An older contender is the ancient Greek trireme Tessaronteres. The Ark is near the maximum size known to be possible for a wooden vessel. Massive Wooden Beams In constructing the life-size Noah s Ark, we used hundreds of huge beams and logs. Some of the center supporting logs are more than 3 feet in diameter and nearly 50 feet long! 3.1 Million Board Feet Over 3.1 million board feet of timber will be used in the construction of the Ark. A board foot is 12 inches by 12 inches by 1 inch. In board feet (laid end to end) there is enough timber in the Ark construction to go from Williamstown, Kentucky to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Biggest in the World The life-size Noah s Ark will be the largest timber frame building in the world. This family-friendly attraction is sure to be a huge hit plan your trip today! 29

Brethren Thoughts :: E-Journal - August 2016 HOW DID NOAH FEED AND CARE FOR THE ANIMALS? According to the Bible, Noah s Ark was a safe haven for representatives of all kinds of air-breathing land animals and flying creatures. During the year-long global Flood, Noah and his family took care of feeding, watering, and cleaning up after thousands of animals. WAS IT JUST A MIRACLE? Although God could have miraculously provided for the daily care of these animals, we don t have to appeal to miracles. In fact, many solutions to seemingly insurmountable problems are rather straightforward. GETTING THE FAMILY IN- VOLVED Remember, Noah wasn t the only human on the Ark. He was accompanied by seven other family members, who would have been a huge help in the daily tasks of caring for all those animals. FOOD AND WATER Noah probably stored the food and water near each animal. Even better, drinking water could have been piped into troughs. The use of some sort of self-feeders, as is commonly done for birds, would have been relatively easy for most animals. Did the Animals Hibernate? Some people think the animals must have hibernated in order for Noah to feed, water, and clean up after them. However, hibernation was not necessary for the animals to be adequately cared for on the Ark. It only would have made it easier. WHAT ABOUT ALL THE MANURE? The key to keeping the enclosures clean was to avoid the need for Noah and his family to do all of the work. The right systems could also prevent the need to frequently change animal bedding. Noah could have accomplished this in several ways, such as slatted floors or multiple-level cages. AIR QUALITY ON THE ARK Ventilation would have been important for providing fresh air and especially for dissipating body heat. A basic, non-mechanical ventilation system was sufficient for the Ark. In fact, the density of animals was much less than we find in some modern, mass animal housing such as chicken farms. NOT A LUXURY CRUISE! While the voyage of the Ark may not have been comfortable or easy, it was certainly doable, even under such unprecedented circumstances. 30

ktlmzc hnnmcw :: Hm sse ]{XnI BKÃv 2016 HOW MANY ANIMALS WERE ON NOAH S ARK? The Bible says that God told Noah to take on the Ark two of every kind of animal, and seven pairs of the clean animals and flying creatures. TWO OF EVERY SPECIES? Was every species on the Ark? No. Species is a term used in the modern classification system. The Bible uses the term kind. The created kind was a much broader category than the modern term of classification, species. WHAT IS A KIND? The biblical concept of created kind probably most closely corresponds to the family level in current taxonomy. A good rule of thumb is that if two things can breed together, then they are of the same created kind. It is a bit more complicated, but this is a good quick measure of a kind. VARIETY WITHIN KINDS There can be a tremendous amount of variation within a created kind. For example, various types of dogs, such as wolves, dingoes, coyotes, jackals, and domestic dogs, can often breed with one another. When dogs breed together, you get dogs; so there is a dog kind. HOW MANY KINDS OF ANIMALS? Recent studies estimate the total number of living and extinct kinds of land animals and flying creatures to be about 1,500. With our worst-case scenario approach to calculating the number of animals on the Ark, this would mean that Noah cared for approximately 7,000 animals. Noah didn t take two of every species on the Ark only two of each kind of animal. The biblical kind is actually more like the family level of classification. That s a lot fewer animals! Recent studies have estimated that Noah may have cared for roughly 1,500 kinds of land-dwelling animals and flying creatures. This includes all living and known extinct animals. Using a worst-case scenario approach in our calculations, there would have been just over 7,000 land animals and flying creatures on the Ark. WAS THERE ENOUGH ROOM? Noah didn t take two of every species on the Ark only two of each kind of animal. The biblical kind is actually more like the family level of classification. That s a lot fewer animals! WAS EVERY KIND OF ANIMAL ON THE ARK? The Bible states that Noah s cargo was limited to landdwelling animals in which was the breath of life (Genesis 7:15). This clearly excludes fish and other sea creatures, and it probably excludes the insects and other invertebrates. According to the Bible, the Ark measured 300 x 50 x 30 cubits, which is a volume of about 2.21 million cubic feet. Without getting into all the math, all of the animals, food, storage, and supplies would have fit comfortably on the Ark. 31

Brethren Thoughts :: E-Journal - August 2016 WHAT HAPPENED AFTER NOAH S FLOOD? The waters took quite a while to recede. While a new landscape was being formed beneath him, Noah made plans to disembark. He sent out birds to see if there was any dry land. Roughly a year after the Flood began, the earth was ready. How Did All Those Animals Leave the Ark? Brave New World After the Flood The landscape had changed drastically. Tectonic and volcanic activity had built mountains and gouged valleys as the water raced into the sea. As Noah and his family saw new landscapes that might have looked familiar, they may The animals probably left the Ark the same way they entered through the door. Perhaps the flying creatures went out through the window or the opening made when the covering was removed (Genesis 9:13). The process may have taken some time, but eventually all of the animals were able to exit the Ark to spread around the globe. First Things First What God Said He d Do Noah built an altar and made an offering to the Lord after leaving the Ark. God blessed Noah and his sons and told them to repopulate and fill the earth. Then the Lord gave some instructions that permitted man to eat meat, but He gave a strong warning against killing people. God established a covenant with man and the living creatures to never again flood the earth. He put the rainbow in the heavens as a sign of this covenant. The rainbow is a beautiful reminder that God cares for us and keeps His promises. have reused names known to them from before the Flood. But this was a new world. Fill the Earth Climate Change We do know that it didn t take long for man to disobey God and cause Him to intervene once again. Instead of spreading out as the animals did, man decided to stay together and even to try to make a name for themselves by building a city and a tower. But that is another story... Weather patterns after the Flood were very different from what Noah s family had known prior to the deluge. Widespread volcanic activity combined with warm ocean temperatures set the stage for the Ice Age that soon followed. Real Cavemen As Noah s descendants began to scatter across the world after Babel, some of them would have found themselves in difficult environments. As they still do in parts of the world today, caves would have made suitable homes for people who didn t have the ability or resources to build homes. These cavemen lived at the same time as the city builders and the hunter-gatherers. 33 ktlmzc hnnmcw :: Hm sse ]{XnI BKÃv 2016 Poulose Mattekkadan as comforter And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever (John 14:16) 1 CORINTHIANS 2:10-12: But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, HE WILL TEACH YOU ALL THINGS, and bring to your remembrance all things that I have said to you. (John 14:26) However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, HE WILL GUIDE YOU INTO ALL TRUTH (JOHN 16:13) The last verse says that not only will the Holy Spirit be our Helper and Teacher in this life - but that He will also be our Guide in this life. Think about those three words Helper, Teacher, and Guide! This is a powerful, three-fold ministry that the Holy Spirit has with each born-again believer. 1) The Holy Spirit Is Your Helper The Holy Spirit's desire and purpose is to help you -- not to hinder you. JOHN 14:16-18: "And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever, Even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. JOHN 16:7: "Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. JOHN 15:26: "But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me. 2) Who Is The Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity of God. It is difficult for humans to understand how there can be only one God, as the Scriptures teach, yet He can reveal Himself as three persons. So do not let it be an obstacle for you. 33

Brethren Thoughts :: E-Journal - August 2016 The Holy Spirit is a person, not just a force. He should be treated with the utmost respect and given the utmost gratitude. 3) How Does He Help You? Following are a few of the ways the Holy Spirit desires to help you, and will help you if you allow Him to. 4) In Prayer ROMANS 8:26: Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. One weakness of humans, compared to God, is in our limited knowledge. We do not even know what is happening on the other side of a wall, let alone the other side of the country. We also do not know what people are planning to do, but the Holy Spirit knows everything. And He will help us to pray accurately and effectively. One way the Holy Spirit helps us in prayer is by giving us utterance in a language for prayer which we have never learned. Thus we can bypass our minds with their doubt and lack of understanding of what is best, and pray according to the perfect will of God. 1 CORINTHIANS 14:2: For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries. JUDE 1:20-20: But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit. 5) Guides Us The Holy Spirit will, if allowed, guide you in every area of life; from the words you should speak, to the spouse you should marry, to the investments you should make. ROMANS 8:14: For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. ACTS 16:6-7: Now when they had gone through Phrygia and the region of Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach the word in Asia. After they had come to Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit did not permit them. JOHN 16:13: "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you. 5) Teaches Us All Things JOHN 14:26: "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things 6) Reminds Us Of The Word JOHN 14:26: "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit,.. He will... bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. 7) Tells Us Things To Come JOHN 16:13: "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come,.. He will tell you things to come. 8) Declares To Us The Things Of Jesus JOHN 16:12-15: "I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. "He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. "All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you. 9) Abides With Us JOHN 14:16-18: "And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. "I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. We are not facing life all alone -- as an orphan would. The Holy Spirit is with us continually -- living with us. When we need help He is never far away, but always right with us, waiting for us to call on Him for His help. 10) Empowers Us To Be Witnesses ACTS 1:8: "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth." 11) Brings Life And Healing To Us ROMANS 8:11: But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. 12) Encourages Us ROMANS 8:16: The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God 2 CORINTHIANS 13:14: The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen. 34

ktlmzc hnnmcw :: Hm sse ]{XnI BKÃv 2016 When we are able to obey the commandments of God and live according to it then gradually we have understanding and wisdom. Santha J Philip Where can we have wisdom and understanding. It is from the Word of God. In order to have wisdom we have to read and obey the Word of God. When we are able to obey the commandments of God and live according to it then gradually we have understanding and wisdom. When we start obeying the Word of God we start obeying our parents also. We started to hear and obey their teaching, commandment, instruction. If anyone wishes to have Wisdom we have to read, meditate and obey the Word of God If we have Wisdom then it will: 1) It will protect us 2) It will watch over you. 3) It will exalt you. 4) It will set a garland of grace on your head. It will not put you down infront of others but it will allow your head up even infront of your enemies. 5) It will present you with a crown of splendor. You will be praised infront of others. It will never allow you to ashamed of yourselves. 6) It will help you to understand the wicked and go away from them because their purpose in life is to destroy others. 7) It will lead you in right path. You will not strumble. 8) It will protect you from evil people and evil desires. 9) It will protect when you sleep 10) It will talk to you when you got up from the sleep. 11) it will protect you when you sit, stand, walk, do, sleep, and whatever you from the wicked people and their desires. 12) It will give you long life. Get wisdom, get understanding do not forget my words or swerve from them. Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you. Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom Though it cost all you have, get wisdom. Though it cost all you have get understanding. Proverbs 4 : 5,6. Walk In The Path Of Wisdom We all desire to have wisdom in our life. If we have wisdom we can achieve many things in our life. We have to suffer if we have lack of wisdom. So in order to acquire wisdom what we have to do: 1) Guard our heart for it is the wellspring of life. 2) Put away perversity from your mouth 3) Keep corrupt talk far from your lips. 4) Let your eyes look straight ahead. 5) Fix your gaze directly before you 6) Make level paths for your feet. 7) Take ways that are firm. 8) Do not swerve to right or left, keep your foot from evil. 9) Listen to the instruction of your father 10) Obey the teaching of your mother. 11) Obey the commandments of God. 12) Acquire knowledge. We can acquire knowledge from the Word of God. By reading the Word of God, by learning, by memorizing, meditating, and obeying the Word of God we can acquire wisdom. The most important thing is we have to obey and follow what God want us. The first and foremost thing is we have to become the Children of God. By repenting about our sins and believing in Jesus Christ and accepting His as our only Lord and personal Saviour we will be saved, we will have eternal life, our name will be written in the book of Life, we will become Gods children and Holy Spirit will dwell in us to guide us. We ourselves have to decide in which path we want to walk. In the path of good or in the path of evil. There is not in between. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of Knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline. (Proverbs 1: 7) 35
