Dear brothers and sisters! VISUK started in Stockholm - the capital of Sweden in 1991, Huddinge / Vårby which continues with great determination and commitment to the pure faith ikhlas and godliness taqwa worship Allah (swt) with prays, performing kindness, focusing to mankind and Muslims formation and cultural works to a higher and more rewarding level. These Muslims come from different regions of the world, Asia, Africa and Europe, they have their own traditions and cultures, and it is only mosques that can bring them together and gather them under one roof. The only factor and the strength that pulls them together is Islam. Dear brothers and sisters! We have good news for you regarding the construction of Mosque and Islamic Cultural Center. Mosque and Islamic Cultural Center building will be constructed as a complex of three floors. The building will be 2000 square meters with Islamic architecture and will have a poetic, transparent and modern design with a dome and minaret. If someone builds a mosque for Allah s sake, Allah will build a similar for him in Paradise. (Bukhari and Muslim) It will be a place of training, learning and various cultural activities. It will be an institution built on a 4991 sqm plot with about 90 parking spaces, have its own park and be located shortly outside the main road E4/E18. The purpose is to contribute to the improvement of our knowledge regarding Islamic teachings, the Qur an and the Prophet s Sunna, and improves the educational, cultural and art level of our people. Our desire is for our people to achieve the level of knowledge they deserve, and first of all, pave the ground for our children and the young generation's future with a permanent foundation of knowledge. As well as contributing to the Muslim society for its brotherhood, community and development. Our goal is to gather and create a common roof in the mosque for Muslim families, children and grandchildren
Religious brothers and sisters! As you know - May Allah have mercy upon you - in Europe, in Sweden it is not just a prayer place (mosque) we need, but we have urgent need for mosques and Islamic cultural centerto attract us, stray Muslims and embrace future generations. Future is Islam. Because it is only one the true religion the peaceful and lovely Islam. By the grace of Allah, if we can teach a generation here in Sweden, further generations will turn to their religion and the others come to Islam too. They will obviously participate in our gloriouswork and even taketheir role in this campaign for good deeds. And even though disbelievers don t like it, indeed Allah executes hisreligion anyway. Be the first for sprinting to this venture. You are awared what the verse says regarding the state and level who hurriestodeserve. The best and righteouswork is to bring up anhonest, noble generation and enlightened society! We must believe that our future and its enduring is up to coming generations with wisdom, high confidence and those whois right and serve community. We will report everything to Allah who knows everything. Therefore, it is time to carry out essential, beneficial works and be self-sacrificing on the way to it. Dear brothers and sisters! Allah will ask us how much we embrace Islam and the right path; because Allah knows our strengths and abilities we hide or do not devote but using for ourselves! Allah knows the deeds we offer and the deeds we don t deserve. We have a large and heavy duty on us as Muslims, in front of our Prophet and children. What we want from you Muslims is to stretch a helping hand to us for the sake of Allah and to support our work as the charity and ideal view. Islamic institutions are necessary, useful, important and valuable essentials, security and guarantee of our future
MOSQUE AND ISLAMIC CULTURAL CENTER Stockholm Sweden Sweden is a country located on the Scandinavian Peninsula in Northern Europe with Norway, Finland and Denmark as neighbors. Sweden is the part of the European Union since 1995 and the fifth largest country with an area of km. Sweden has 9.7 million people and the country's capital-stockholm is the largest city with 1,4 million inhabitants. Gothenburg and Malmö have respectively 550,000 and 315,000 inhabitants. Sweden is the country with the most migrants in Europe, of which 1.5 million (16%) consist of immigrants of the total population. Sweden is ranked as the ninth in the world economy. Gross domestic product per resident was $ 57,895 in 2013 and the unemployment rate was about 9%. Sweden as a country is ruled by a constitutional monarchy and parliamentary system. -5-
Sweden is a developed country with concerning economy. The official language of Sweden is Swedish and the country has a Protestant faith in Christianity. Sweden has varied climate and a highly variable temperature. Summers are very cool and short while winters are harsh and long lasting more than six months. The daylight during the summer is 20 hours between sunrise and sunset, while the winters are only 6 hours. The country has abundant rainfall and dense forest, large and spacious green scenery and rich marine which means that the country has a humid atmosphere
Muslims in Sweden Sweden has about 600,000 Muslims and the majority of them live in the capital Stockholm. The second largest religion in Sweden is Islam, and the number of converts is constantly increasing, particularly among women. However, declines about 20 people each year from churches in Stockholm. The history of Muslims in Sweden, compared to Germany, the Netherlands and Denmark are much newer and therefore this is more favorable for Muslims at various meetings. Muslims have come to Sweden since the beginning of 1945 from the Caucasus Muslim Tatars. They migrated first to Finland and from there to Sweden. The first official Islamic Cultural Association of Sweden was formed in 1946 by a Caucasian family, and the first who began receiving activity support. Muslims coming to Europe and Sweden from their countries of economic, social, political and martial reasons and building up their own associations and organizations. Finally, I want to remind two hadithes of the Prophet (sav): Ebu Mus'ab narrated: One man came from Medina. They saw his fine things during the trip. They asked him and he said he was on his way to Moor (West/Europe), and added: I heard the Prophet (sav) says: Some people are going to Moor (West / Europe) to be active. These will come to doomsday with faces lit up like the sun (because what they did). (Ahmed bin Hanbel, Musned III/424 ) Amr bin El'As narrated: One day when we were with the Prophet, he said: Happy are the poors! And we asked: «Oh the Messenger of Allah! What are the poors?» He replied: Who is good among many wicked and the rebellious are more than those who are obedient to him Prof Dr Ihsan Sureyya Sirma lecture
Muslims leave a century behind and found a permanent situation in many countries in Europe. Interest in Islam is vast and evolving society. The Turkish Muslim history in Sweden starting from the 1960s, when most migrant labor. The move to Sweden increased during the 1970s by the family and family connections and today estimated the Turkish Muslims amount to more than 90 thousand inhabitants. 9 General Situation of Muslims Socio-economic situation in Sweden varies between regions and areas. Areas where Muslims and other immigrants are concentrated unemployment goes up to 11 percent. The dependency ratio is difficult in Sweden, and to manage expenses, both parties must possess an income. For this reason, the wife in the family is usually also gainful employment. A large part of the Muslim population in Sweden does not have any professional training and works in the cleaning and restaurant industry. Their situation has not changed for the better but they are still within the same industries. The majority of Muslims in Sweden have generally a pretty low college and university education which make difficult inchanging their situation to better. In contrast, the third generation shows ambition to study, vocational education and training for academic degree each year. Similarly, there is some interest in politics and membership among Muslims in various parties and even there are also some Muslim parliament members nowadays. At-Tawbah 18 The mosques of Allah are only to be maintained by those who believe in Allah and the Last Day and establish prayer and give zakah and do not fear except Allah, for it is expected that those will be of the [rightly] guided. 10 Mosques in Sweden There are three separate mosques in Stockholm the capital of Sweden. Two of these mosques have minarets and dome. One is located in the center of Stockholm, the second in Stockholm, Botkyrkavägen and the third mosque in Haninge. The distance between these three mosques is between 25 and 30 km. According to Jabir (r.a.) narration the Prophet (SAV) said: "Whoever builds a mosque for Allah's sake, big as a pea stay or smaller, Allah builds a house in Paradise for him. Come to the house of Allah for a cost to a bird's nest. This is a cheap deal! Even Muslims in other big cities, Gothenburg, Uppsala and Skövde have been able to build stand-alone mosques. Most Muslims have established mosques in small premises, basements and ground floors in apartment buildings. Today in Stockholm, approximately 50 basemet-mosques arebetween 5 to 10 km apart to eachather. These garagemosques are very small to respond to demand of Muslims. The majority of Muslims in Huddinge live in Vårby and perform their Eid prayer each year by the association VISUK in Vårby school canteen. Our mosque and cultural center will be built in Huddinge Municipality which has about 102,000 inhabitants and is the largest municipality in Stockholm. The number of Muslims in Huddinge is just over 17,000. Pictures of mosques in Sweden

Purpose The goal of VISUK s activities is to protect and maintain our own social structure, contribute to Islamic faith and its cultural value. It needs to be a mosque and complex building for Muslim people to maintain their culture, their values and affiliation and establish Islamic institution. To support our children and young people's futures by providing a permanent and safe condition due to exercise of their religion and traditions. The further goal is to help the Muslim population in the development of Islamic knowledge, morality, science, education, art, culture and sport cause they deserve it. Our goal is to get strengthen brotherhood and fellowship among the Muslim community in Sweden. To possess a responsibility to guide and direct the development process based on their needs and share their concerns and joys. After long work, it was clear the necessity to build the mosque and cultural center with many departments which can benefit itself and entire activities. The new generation of unstable attitude toward Islam and the difficulties on wrong outlook justifies the need for a mosque and cultural center building. Our purpose is to strengthen the democratic cooperation and build a wider dialogue with the Huddinge municipality and use the capabilities and resources for open activities contribute them to society development as a whole With wishes to project Mosque and Islamic Cultural Centre with permanent blessing will be useful and provide a lasting work in the right path... We wish all our brothers and sisters who support Mosque and Islamic Cultural Centre project financially and spiritually as well as endeavoring an accepted deed and higher valuation. May Allah (swt) make those works for Islam successful and victorious... The quest is from us, the help and result from Allah. Success and maintenance is from Allah. The current mosque The planned mosque and Islamic Cultural Centre for construction
Mosque construction Mosque has been acting for 23 years, in two small rooms (117 and 71 square meters) on the ground floor. The increasing number of young generation and large amount activitiesin narrow and small rooms make considerable difficulties and occurethe main future problems. Dueto these reasons VISUK has started construction project for a mosque and Islamic cultural center during the month of Ramadan in The Mosque and Islamic Cultural Centre building project was approved and accepted by the provincial government and the municipality, the land was purchased, the deed has been acquired, the building permit is obtained, all official documents, transactions and licensing have been completed. The building is to be constructed on 4991 square meters of land and will be a total of 2000 square meters on three floors, with a minaret and dome. One part of the building should be in a mosque shape with extensive complex for people education training and social activities. There will also be areas for study, sharing of knowledge, culture, sport, health, grocery, dining and accommodations for overnight alongside of the mosque. Currently, the first step to achieve the amount needs to start building the rough design of the building. The second phase of the project is tocomplete the building and dedicate it for activities. All construction costs in accordance with the calculations and reports of building engineers and contractors go upto 30 million Swedish Krouns (3.5 million Euros) We are asking for support and financial donations of all Muslims to contribute for this great project. We want that Muslims to extend a helping hand to us in Sweden. The Islamic buildings and structures that Muslims build and establish is very important here, essential and valuable; they contribute to the safety, security and guarantees for their own and their generations future. All deeds of The Mosque and Islamic Cultural Centre project in Vårby/ Sockholmare living charity, compassion and a caring job with great rewards and prizes from Allah (swt). May Allah (swt) preserve and reward all of their contributions and support.
