2 Saying of the Prophet (PBUH) When a person builds a mosque or at least contributes partly to its construction and running, then that person will get a portion of the reward for whoever performs Salah there, recites the Quran and so on Whoever builds a masjid (mosque) for the sake of Allah, or even contribute in it equivalent to a straw of sparrow s nest or even smaller, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise

3 MST: Facts MST has more than 1800 members Muslims from 45 nationalities are member of society Large number of students and their families are part of this mosque Steering & Shura committee members belong to 12 different nationalities Masjid is resided in 3 rd largest city of Norway ( where largest technical university ( and research centres ( ( of the country is situated

4 MST: Activities Quranic, Islamic & Arabic classes for women, children & adults Mosque visit for students of schools and colleges "Dawa" activities in the city centre every month, distribute Islamic literature and organized "Coffee with us" program for Non-Muslim "Itikaf Program" for Muslims every month Iftar for whole th month of Ramadan, welcome party for new students, Iftar on 9 Dhul Hijjah, Eid parties & other social activities for kids

6 Background Masjid resides in national heritage declared 4- storied building, constructed in 1765 (only ground floor is in use) It was the northern most masjid at the time of purchase Located in the center of Trondheim spanning an area of 2500 square meters For even minor repair work or changes we need permission from several different Govt. departments MST got notice from the kommune two years back that authorities will close the masjid if it (ground floor) is not re-designed according to the safety requirements
