ELEVENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME SESSIONS OF FAITH Parish Religious Education Program (PREP) is for students in first grade through middle school and includes Sacrament preparation, and Baptism for

4 ELEVENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME SESSIONS OF FAITH Parish Religious Education Program (PREP) is for students in first grade through middle school and includes Sacrament preparation, and Baptism for unbaptized children. Classes are held on Sundays from 9:15 am 10:45 am. For more information, please contact Father Tim McGowan at 310/ or Debra Evans at New sessions will start in September. You may sign up for classes soon. BAPTISM The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated on the 4th Saturday of every month at 1pm in the church. Parishioners are invited to call the office to get an appointment for an interview and place in our Baptism class which is held on the 3rd Sunday of every month in our Parish Center after attendance at the 11am Mass. There will be a special pew in the church reserved for these newest members of the parish. Call 310/ with questions. This is an important step in your relationship with your parish. RCIA OUR RCIA GROUP will continue next fall to meet on Mondays from 7-9pm. Call 310/ , if you are interested in joining to catch up on your faith, receive a sacrament you may have missed, or just want to have your faith renewed; you may sign up with the office for our fall sessions. All are welcome. The Confirmation and Youth Ministry programs are finished for this year. If you are interested, please go to confirmationvc@gmail.com. This is a two year formation program and the new sessions will begin in the fall. Watch for sign up times in the bulletin or check with Geremy. COMMUNITY INFORMATION THE CONCERT SINGERS-70th Anniversary Season present Big Band, Broadway & Beatles on Sunday, June 24. Spend a summer afternoon indulging in ice cream sundaes and some toe-tapping music. Ice Cream Social 3:15pm, 4pm, at Westchester United Methodist Church, 8065 Emerson Ave, LA Tickets (suggested donation) at the door $17, in advance, $15. Groups of 8 or more $10 ea. For more info, 310/ or or advance tickets through Karen Ricks in our 5pm choir. CANNED FOOD DRIVE FOR ST. MARGARET CENTER is next weekend. Please bring canned meat and fish, soups, vegetables, cooking oils, dry milk, cereals. Any baby food, formula and dry baby formula is also appreciated. Thank you for your generosity to our outreach to the poor. MERCY BAGS are also being collected next weekend. These plastic bags should contain: a pair of socks, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrush, mouthwash, razor, shaving cream, soap, deodorant, sunscreen and maybe a breakfast snack bar. We collected 50 bags last month. Thank you for helping out with this great program. No one taking attendance. No auditions. No scheduling nightmare. Come one week, skip the next Its all good. Here s how it works: During June, July and August, if you want to be in the choir, just show up for a short rehearsal at 9am (for the 9:30am Mass) in the church or 10am (for the 11am Mass) in the Parish Center, ready to sing. We will rehearse simple music with whomever is there, and then we will be the choir for that Mass. No experience required, and you don t need to know how to read music or let anyone know you are coming. Just show up (or don t) - all are welcome! A MASS IN RECOGNITION OF ALL IMMIGRANTS will be celebrated on Sunday, June 24 at 4pm with a pre-procession at 3:30pm at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels. All are invited to join in this time of prayer to unite us in solidarity with the parishes and priests of the Archdiocese and our Archbishop Most Rev. José Gomez.
