This past Sunday, our stand chairpeople enjoyed a pasta/pizza luncheon and reviewed the results from our picnic. We ne ed $103,000 which surpassed last year by $7,200 which had been one of our best years on record. As we celebrated a very successful picnic, we are already gearing up for next summer and brainstorming new ideas. Tim Hecht and Carson Tardy will be our chairpeople for next year; however, we need another couple/ person to assist them. If you can help, please contact Tim, Carson, or Carol Toney at , or Christy at I m happy to report that we are very close to kicking off our capital campaign for the church restora on project! For the past few months, over 70 volunteers have been working hard to prepare for the campaign. In addi on, our Restora on Commi ee has finalized designs and details for the new sanctuary and narthex, and I am very excited for you to see the renderings. Our official Announcement Weekend will be Sept. 1 & 2, and you ll hear all about the plans. Please save the date for a special Campaign Kick Off Celebra on on Sunday, Sept. 16, from 7:00 8:00pm, in the Sacred Heart Parish Center. This is a short video that reviews informa on about our Catholic faith. So, please come a li le early for Mass. During my recent trip to Poland, I purchased three new palls which will complete the set that we currently use for Mass. It is nice that we have them available to use for the different liturgy celebra ons. I am very happy to have so many servers par cipa ng at Mass. We have rearranged the ves ng room to accommodate space for the surplices and albs. I would like as many servers as possible at each Mass. Welcome to Sacred Heart we're glad that you re here!

Adults from all faith tradi ons or no religious background at all are welcome to par cipate in the parish s mul week program that begins Thursday, Sept. 6, Our local parishes are welcoming and evangelizing communi es of faith. As part of our calling to be Christ s disciples, we are to spread the good news. Our parish needs your willingness to share that good news by talking to others who you think may be interested in joining the Catholic faith. While most of the new inquirers come from your ini a on of this discussion, if you know of someone whom you would like us to contact, just let us know. Again this year, the parishes of Sacred Heart, St. Mary s, and St. Anthony will collaborate their efforts in teaching RCIA, allowing a broader scope of learning and journeying with each other. A special invita on to those who have entered the Church through past par cipa on in RCIA: your experiences and spiritual journey of faith can be a shining light for those who are considering joining the Catholic faith. Please pass on what you have experienced and invite your family & friends to join us.
