8 Building God s Kingdom by growing disciples and making disciples through love of God and neighbor! Does this sound familiar? By now you recognize this as our Parish Mission Statement. Many members of our St. John Paul II Parish have responded to this challenge by joining or forming Small Faith Groups. These groups meet to pray together and study a variety of religious materials for discussion. Some of these are Bible Studies, some use the materials and programs provided by FORMED as a basis for growing in their Faith. Each group decides on what they will use for religious development. Some of these groups comprise couples, individuals, all women, all men, mothers, young families and a mixture of all of the above. We invite you to join any of the above groups or form a group that answers your par+cular interests. These groups meet in homes, coffee shops, and in parish mee+ng rooms. For more informa+on about joining, or forming a group, please call: Dolores Snyder at Interested in learning more about Catholicism? The Rite of Chris+an Ini+a+on for Adults (RCIA) is the process by which adults and older children learn about and are received into the Catholic Church. This process is a period of learning as well as discernment about becoming Catholic. We welcome people of all faith tradi +ons to learn more about our Catholic faith and have their ques+ons answered about our prac+ces. Most importantly, we hope that our RCIA process helps those interested to deepen their rela+onship with Jesus and come to know Him through the Catholic Church and our parish family. We would love for you to join us at RCIA on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 pm (star-ng August 14th) to find out more about Catholicism or take the next step in becoming Catholic!
