Men are encouraged to wear bolo ties to church Sunday. While Pastor Aja is attending the 223rd General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church USA in St. Louis, we welcome to our pulpit Rev. James Roghair. Along with his wife, Elizabeth, the Roghairs are actively involved in the worship, fellowship and ministry of Westminster. On the Sunday's when we don't see Jim in worship it is because he also serves a number of smaller churches in northern New Mexico, including Laguna.

He is in intensive care in Charlottesville, Virginia; for Margi Coxwell s brother, Loren, out of ICU, and entering rehab; for Bob Miles, in frail condition at El Castillo; for Jan Gough, who is dancing with Sister Cancer, her current, most intimate teacher in the on-going journey with the God in whom we live and move and have our being"; for Margaret Walsh s nephew Aneesh, experiencing emotional and physical issues; for Cindy Piatt s friend, Reverend Pam Normile, fighting a serious recurrence of cancer; for Keri Brinegar s Uncle Warren Skelton and Aunt Kayla; for Bill Taylor s stepmother, Joyce Taylor, who is now in hospice; for Bob, a friend of Rod Sewell; continued uplifting prayer for Jennifer Elliott, and for Jim Elliott s son Stephan, and his family in Israel; for Joe Miracle s mother, Betty, in Hospice care; for continued recovery for Brian Garcia; for Cheryl Case, friend of the Tway family, who is being treated for cancer; prayers for the Brinegars friend, Erika Roth, young wife and mother fighting cancer; continued recovery for Elizabeth Roghair s mother, Margaret Byers; for Andy Thorne, as he deals with continuing chemotherapy; continued prayer for Carmen Chavez family members; Marian Goad; Joe Dudziak; Dwight Walker; Juan Bacigalupi; Margaret Walsh; John & Desiree Burnett; Dotti Tryk; Juanita Sandoval; Beverly Garrett; Suzanne Dreith; Jan Chesnut's sister and family in Damascus, Syria; for the people of Puerto Rico: for the staff and congregations of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of Cuba; and for our country s Veterans. And prayers for the survivors and victim s families of the mass shootings this past school year. May they find comfort through their grief and learn to live without fear once again.

6 Please note: we will keep names on the prayer list for as long as wanted. If you know of others in our midst in need of prayer, please contact Rev. Tony Aja or the church office. We also want to hear your good news and joys: marriages, children, graduations, retirements, or new jobs. If you have any prayer requests or notices, please fill out a prayer card and put it in the offertory plate or them to Margaret at: mw@margaretw.com It was wonderful to see the church filled, especially with the children last Sunday, as we celebrated the baptism of Alexander Antonio Padia, son of Amos Padilla and Ashley Martinez. Let s say Feliz Cumpleaños to those celebrating birthdays this coming week: James Rotunno 6/19, Arvid Lundy 6/23 And Congratulations to Jim Williams and Jenny Lasley 6/18, on their Anniversary; and to Jim and Elizabeth Roghair 6/18, on the date of their real Anniversary! The Koinonia Hall was turned into a children s wonderland last Sunday with little buckets and shovels and bubbles to celebrate Henry Akiki s first birthday. Sandwiches, an array of fruit, cake and cookies with a big One were enjoyed by all! Thank you to Traci and Georges Akiki, and Sandy Reynolds.
