This is a program where participants commit to fasting for one meal each week, donating $5 to No More Hunger instead. Last year we gave slightly more than $5,000 to fight hunger locally, nationally and internationally. Since the program began in 2009 Westminster has donated more than $56,000 to fight hunger through the No More Hunger project. Join us next Sunday at the Agape Fast and hear Terry Enright from Feed Santa Fe, one of the recipients of the No More Hunger project.

There are no forms to fill out, no questions asked. Over 95% of contributions to Feeding Santa Fe go directly to the purchase and distribution of food to feed families in the Santa Fe area. Since Feeding Santa Fe is completely staffed by unpaid volunteers, no money goes to salaries or staff." Bags for People Experiencing Homelessness: Also, this coming Sunday, January 28 th, we will be filling bags after church for people experiencing homelessness. If you didn t have a chance to sign up to bring specific things last Sunday, we always have a need for the following: new white socks, small pop-top cans of food (like chili, spaghetti, etc.), small containers of fruit, gallon freezer bags, napkins and spoons, small bottles of water, bags of nuts, and breakfast bars. Please bring whatever you can! Many thanks for your generosity! Once again, the members of the Westminster family have risen to the need. On January 16th and 21st eighteen people our Westminster family stepped out to volunteer at the Interfaith Homeless Shelter. A big thank-you to everyone who made this possible!

Palace Avenue, presents the 6 th annual Quiet Day led by theology professor and author, Jean Molesky-Poz, PhD, on Saturday, February 10 th from 9:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dr. Molesky-Poz will speak on Journey into Lent with St. Clare of Assisi: May you go forward securely, joyfully, and swiftly. There is no cost to attend but you will need to register by ing Llyn Gillespie at mtnartlady@msn.com or calling the Holy Faith church office at no later than February 3 rd.

Each of us is different and there are so many doorways into meaningful silence and the listening and deepening it supports.

Our group is open to the community all are most welcome to come, and to observe the silence during our time together in any way they wish. Each of us is different and there are so many doorways into meaningful silence and the listening and deepening it supports. Some will be practicing Centering Prayer, a beautiful and simple Christian contemplative practice. Come share the silence all are welcome! TAIZÉ SERVICE THURSDAY The Taizé service takes place every Thursday from September through May. Join us for this service of prayer and song. Let s say Feliz Cumpleaños to those celebrating birthdays this coming week: Dr. James Roghair 1/30, Jo Ann Padilla 1/30 Sixteen of our members and Deacons hosted dinner at the Homeless Shelter (Pete s Place) for two evenings last week. We thank them for helping those less fortunate. Thank you to the Whole Hog Restaurant on Guadalupe St. for providing a meal for this week s ELL session. Please extend our gratitude for their continuing generosity when you dine with them. Thank you to Carmen Chavez who served classic hot dogs and "fixins" at last Sunday s coffee hour.
