As she did Juancito, today, she comes to tell us again: Be my ambassador, the one I send to build my new shrines, accompany many lives, wipe away many tears. Thank You to our very own Brother Knights who helped cook for the Assembly 2102 Family Picnic that was held on Saturday April 9th at McArthur Park. Fellowship, fun and good food was had by all. PRAYER FOR THE CANONIZATION OF FATHER MICHAEL J. McGIVNEY Venerable Servant of God Father Michael J. McGivney God, our Father, protector of the poor and defender of the widow and orphan, you called your priest, Father Michael J. McGivney, to be an apostle of Christian family lifr and to lead the young to the generous service of their neighbor. Through the example of his life and virtue may we follow your Son, Jesus Christ, more closely, fulfilling his commandment of charity and building up his Body which is the Church. Let the inspiration of your servant prompt us to greater confidence in your love so that we may continue his work of caring for the needy and the outcast. 5 Page 5 WORLD DAY OF PRAYER FOR VOCATIONS APRIL 17, 2016 PRAYER FOR VOCATIONS Generous god, You show us the way that leads to everlasting life. Through baptism you have called us To proclaim the Good News. Bless and strengthen those Who have made a commitment of service in the Church. Guide and give wisdom To those discerning their vocation. Enrich our Church with dedicated Married and single people, With deacons, priests, And with people in consecrated life. Filled with your Holy Spirit we ask this blessing that we, your people, may follow Jesus, our Good Shepherd, now and always. Amen.
