Dr. Antonio "Tony" Aja, Pastor Preaching on: "The Peace Of Christ Is With you...or Is It" Based on Psalm 85: 8 & 10; Matthew 5:9 Dear WPC Family and Friends: The session/council of WPC approved the following motion at the last stated meeting: "MOTION made and unanimously approved that the Session of WPC will consider joining the Covenant Network of Presbyterians and More Light Network of Presbyterians following a period of discernment and conversations with the congregation." We will have the first of these ''conversations'' on joining these two LGBTQ advocacy PCUSA affiliated organizations on Sunday, August 27, at 9:00 am in the Koinonia Hall. To prepare for these conversations, please go to their websites: More Light Presbyterians - Covenant Network of Presbyterians - You will also receive via other information and will have hard copies of resources at the conversation meeting on August 27 at 9:00 am. 2 The weekly schedule for Taizé services will begin again on Thursday, September 7th at 5:30 p.m. and run through May of We have finally reached the point where we are able to begin to rebuild the website wpcsf.org. When we are finished the site should be much more user friendly and explain clearly who and what Westminster Presbyterian Church PCUSA is. The GREAT NEWS is that once again you can find "el Semanario" on the website, beginning with last week's edition (which was mistakenly labeled 7/23/17). To do that all you have to do is to go to the el Semanario page on the website. Check out what has been done so far. We welcome your input on how best to improve our website so more people will use it. We would especially welcome some testimonials about what makes Westminster special for you.

May those who have suffered the loss of a loved one find comfort and peace no matter how long ago the loss occurred. Our life here is but for a time, it is in passing that we are truly reborn.

7 WESTMINSTER NEWS FROM MONEY CARE Net Surplus/Shortage through 6/30/17 Total income: $76,935 Total expenses: $67,112 Net Surplus: $9,823 The Stewardship Committee is gathering materials for this year's Stewardship campaign in the fall. They have asked that if you have pictures of the church or activities that could be used in these materials that you them to for consideration of inclusion in materials that may be used in a brochure, on Westminster's Facebook page or our website later this year. FROM MISSIO DEI To all coffee lovers and supporters of Just Coffee that we sell at WPC, we just received notice that the problem that had with the new Nafta regulations are solved and we are back on the track. This coffee is from the coffee growers in Chiapas, Mexico and we have been supporting them since 2004, by enjoying a cup of coffee at Social Hour and offering it for sale. Now our cabinet if full of Cafe Justo. Thank Westminster has been supporting Rev. Dr. Karla Ann Koll, PCUSA Mission Coworker in Costa Rica though Missio Dei giving. 13 IN THE ARTS TGIF Concert At First Presbyterian Church. All are invited to TGIF concert at First Pres. tonight at 5:30 p.m., Friday, August 4, 2017, featuring Santa Fe Opera Quartet. Next Friday, August11, 2017 the TGIF Concert will feature Laura Metcalf, cello and Rupert Boyd, guitar. The current show in the Back Pew Gallery is a digital photography exhibit from the Santa Fe Community College called" Shadow Memory II". It will run through August 27th. Take time after the concert to view the exhibit.
