Thanks for your continued generosity in buying the raffle tickets. Once again, we will use the profit to do a parish project. Last year s profit was used to replace the lights in the parking lot with LED lights at a cost of $5, Three breaks in the underground electrical cable cost another $ There went the $6, we earned from the raffle. The LED lights, I am told, will save us 60% on our parking lot electrical bill. I would like to thank the Hospitality Committee for all their help with the Farewell Reception for Fr. Melly. Special thanks to the Alessi, Arbuiso, Buonconsiglio, and Silva Families, Betty Pizza, and Marie Bilboa. I hope you are having a nice summer. Fr. She wants to help us become saints because that is what she knows her son Jesus wants, too. When we offer our deeds of mercy and our trust to Jesus through Mary, it is like a peasant who, wishing to gain the benevolence of the king, went to the queen and presented her with a piece of fruit, which was all he had too give to the king. Then the fruit, however unworthy it is by itself, becomes worthy based upon the dish of gold it rests upon, and the person who presented it. Just a Thought.. Kind (sympathetic, gentle, benevolent) What we aim to be each day as we follow Jesus.

In the quiet and stillness, we can tune out the noise of the outer world and tune into the Voice within. One such practice, contemplative color, utilizes a simple yet profound process of dropping watercolor inks on paper. Artistic ability is not necessary for this practice, only a desire to enter into a time of quiet discovery. The images created by this meditative process help us connect to our inner spirit and invite God to speak to us in a unique way. Presenter: Barbara Van Wagner is a certified spiritual director. She received a diploma in Spiritual Guidance from Milltown Institute, Dublin, and is a graduate of the Pastoral Formation Institute. She has trained with the authors of Awakening the Creative Spirit: Bringing the Arts to Spiritual Direction and at the Expressive Arts Institute in Sarasota, Florida. Barbara's contemplative approach to spiritual guidance supports the exploration of creative expression as a means to deepening one's relationship with God.
