For this is a heavenly banquet, and you are welcome here! All: Let us worship God! David Hough
2 * OPENING SONG Across the Lands Getty and Townend PRAYER OF CONFESSION One: Dear friends, let us love one another, because love comes from God. Whoever loves is a child of God and knows God. All: Jesus Christ, life of the world and of all creation, forgive our separation and grant us peace and unity. One: The peace that Christ gives is to guide us in the decisions we make, for it is to this peace that God has called us together into one body.
3 All: Jesus Christ, life of the world and of all creation, forgive our separation and grant us peace and unity. One: With his own body he broke down the walls of separation. By his death on the cross, Christ destroyed our divisions. All: Jesus Christ, life of the world and of all creation, forgive our separation and grant us peace and unity. * SONG OF CELEBRATION 585 Gloria a Dios (v. 1) Hymnal * THE PEACE As we are reconciled to God and to one another, share a sign of Christ s peace and love with your neighbor. During the hymn, the children are invited forward for a special message. They are then dismissed to KIDS CONNECTION * SONG 585 Gloria a Dios (v. 2 and 3) Hymnal CHILDREN S MESSAGE BAPTISM OF AAYLA INARA AULT FRENCH REFORMED BAPTISMAL LITURGY For you, little one, the Spirit of God moved over the waters at creation, and the Lord God made covenants to live in love with his people. It was for you that the Word of God became flesh and lived among us, full of grace and truth. For you, Aayla, Jesus suffered death and cried out It is finished! For you, Christ triumphed over death, rose in newness of life and ascended to reign over all. All of this was done for you, little one, though you do not know it yet. But we will continue to tell you this good news until it becomes your own. And so the promise of the gospel is fulfilled: We love because God first loved us.
