Each cncentratin has specific educatinal utcmes. Directed Study (M.A.) Specialized Ministry (M.A.L.) General Studies (M.Div.) The Directed Study, Specialized Ministry, and General Studies cncentratins prvide the mst flexibility in pursuing a degree, allwing the student t select the electives that best fit his r her interests and needs. Baha i Studies The cncentratin in Baha i Studies is available fr the M.Div. degree. Cncentratin curses are ffered in partnership with the Wilmette Institute. Biblical Studies The cncentratin in Biblical Studies is available fr the M.A., M.A.L., and M.Div. degree. This allws students t initiate and sustain cllabrative wrk and develp a netwrk f supprtive relatinships and prfessinal cnnectins. Praxis Orientatin The Scial Transfrmatin cncentratin fr the M.A.L. and M.Div. prgrams fcuses n equipping leaders with the tls, cmpetencies, framewrks and strategic thinking required fr effective scial transfrmatin. This praxis fcus is reflected in a number f the prgram elements: Capstne Cntext. Students are expected t spend 8 hurs a week in an rganizatin/cmmunity cntext(s) related t their Scial Transfrmatin Prject. This may be any variatin f paid r vlunteer wrk, which hlds scial transfrmatin ptential. The cntext prvides bth a learning cntext and a cmmunity f accuntability. We assist students as needed t secure a Capstne cntext. Actin-Learning. Each student will be part f an actin-learning team with 6-8 ther students and a cach, fcusing n leadership develpment and successful cmpletin f their Scial Transfrmatin Prject. Actin-Learning teams will meet mnthly. Capstne Dcument. The Capstne Dcument is the central and culminating prfessinal and academic cmpnent f the Scial Transfrmatin prgram. The Capstne Dcument demnstrates the learner s ability t integrate, synthesize, apply and evaluate the praxis f scial transfrmatin.
