8 Page 8 St. Rosalie s Bulletin THANKS! I have lost count of the number of people who have told me how beautiful the church was decorated for the Christmas season. Many thanks to all those who arranged poinsettias, trees, lights, nativity scenes (inside and out) and all other decorations. The church really did look great for Christmas. Thank you to all who were involved in preparing for and running our outdoor festivities for the crèche blessing and tree lighting. Fire, hot chocolate, ponies what more could we want? I thank all the musicians for the beautiful and uplifting music they provided over the course of the season. Thanks to all those who helped our liturgies run smoothly at this busy and festive time of year altar servers, lectors, ushers and sacristans. Thank you, all of you who worked behind the scenes before and after Masses, including those who launder the altar cloths or count the collection money. Thanks to my fellow clergy (priest and deacons) for the hard work they put in during this season. I thank all who have helped make this Christmas season run so well. Happy Father Maddaloni January 20, 2019 Second Sunday in Ordinary Time

Stewardship Reflection In today s second reading, St. Paul tells the Corinthians (and us) that all of our gifts are from God and they are given, not for us alone, but for the common good. The generosity of God knows no limits - the miracle at Cana reminds us that whenever we faithfully do as God asks, He can change our gifts of water into wine. We are grateful this week for all stewards in our parish who are open to God s call and stand ready to make the best use of their gifts in service to their neighbor through practical works of mercy such as donating food to our parish food pantry or clothing to the St. Vincent de Paul Society. January 20, 2019 St. Vincent de Paul Society Reflection In the Gospel today, at the wedding feast in Cana, Jesus reveals himself to his disciples and they began to believe in him. Every day, God also gives us signs of his love and so we also can respond in faith and trust. Your gift to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul becomes a sign of God s love to those who are suffering and you give them reason to believe and to trust.
