INFORMATION The Welcome Desk is open before and after worship. Please use the information cards to keep in touch. Green Cards - to request information about joining and supporting our ministries and activities. Multi-Coloured Cards - to register an interest in using your gifts to serve. Blue Cards - to inform us of pastoral information about yourself or someone else. Michael Wylie will respond to information on the Green and Multi-Coloured cards, and Stacey Trimble to the Blue cards. THE GRACE OF GIVING Be Joyful and Generous! 2018 THANKSGIVING GIFT Our target is to raise 20,000 between Sunday 4th November and Sunday 30th December. The first 2,000 raised will be given to the Moderator s Indonesia Tsunami Appeal. If you would like to make a gift, please use the envelopes available at reception or using the link on the Church Website to the Just Giving page. AFTERNOON COMMUNION SERVICE This afternoon at 3.00pm there will be a short communion service in the Church for those who are housebound, ill or find the morning communion service too long. The service will last for approximately 30 minutes followed by a cup of tea afterwards in the halls complex. Family and friends are welcome to accompany you. Prayer Ministry will also be available. CONTRIBUTING MEMBERS 2019 Church Envelopes will be available for collection from the Sports Hall on Sunday 25th November before and after 9.30am and 11.00am services and before the 6.30pm service.

3 NEWS, EVENTS & NOTICES BEREAVEMENT We regret to announce the death on 29th October of Mr Frank Jackson, late of 6 Wynnland Drive and extend our loving sympathy to the family circle at this sad time. FINANCE UPDATE We are coming to the end of our financial year again and the last date that we can receive monies into the Church accounts for 2018 will be Sunday 30th December. Would Treasurers of our organisations please note that any donations to the Church for heat, light, minibus etc. for 2018 should be submitted as soon as possible. Thank you to those who have already sent in their donations. Draft Organisation accounts should be submitted to the Church Office by Friday 14th December. Final accounts with small adjustments for bank charges and/or interest should be sent to the Church Office by Friday 4th January together with copies of your bank statements as our external audit is scheduled for 16th and 17th January Many thanks to the counting teams and organisation Treasurers for your continued dedication and support which is much appreciated. Finance Team KIRK SESSION AND COMMITTEE MEETINGS Please note change of date: There will be no Kirk Session meeting in October. The revised date for the Kirk Session meeting is Tuesday 13th November at 7.30pm. The next planned Committee Meeting has been moved back to Tuesday 27th November at 7.30pm. SAMARITAN S PURSE OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD Filled shoeboxes should be returned today. Please leave them in the alcove area between the halls and the Church. Thank you. CARNMONEY.ORG SERVICE OF REMEMBRANCE An Act of Remembrance will be held at 11.00am service on Sunday 11th November. To assist, serving and ex members of the forces and emergency services will be required to take part in the service. If you would like to be involved please contact Tom McKee on Thank you. COFFEE MORNING The Pastoral Care team would like to invite the over 60s to the monthly Coffee Morning which will be held in the Church Centre Coffee Bar on Monday 5th November from 10.30am - 12 noon. We would love you to drop in for tea/coffee and a chat. It will be an opportunity to build community and develop relationships. Please invite your neighbours, friends and relatives - all will be made most welcome! PW The next meeting of PW will be on Tuesday 6th November at 8.00pm in the upstairs meeting room. The title of our meeting is The Seeker and the Sought which is the story of CS Lewis by Rev Mercia Flanagan who is the retired Vicar from Carnmoney Parish. All ladies are welcome to attend. PW 70TH ANNIVERSARY The PW celebrate their 70th Anniversary this month with a couple of events. An Anniversary Dinner in the Hilton Hotel Templepatrick on Friday 16th November followed by a Service of Thanksgiving on Sunday 18th at 11.00am service when Rev Mairisine Stanfield will be our guest speaker. This term we re studying Psalm 23 using Max Lucado s book Travelling Light and exploring how we can be released from the burdens we were never intended to bear. The Association of Christian Counsellors will be running this seminar on Tuesday 6th November 7.15pm pm in Christian Fellowship Church, Belmont Road. Cost: 8 per person, includes refreshments. YOU CAN HELP BY: Advertising the course - tell others friends or family who are job seekers or put up a promotional poster in your workplace or community area.
