2 From the desk of Father... Page 2 February 18, 2018 DDF 2018 Dear Parishioners, We once again begin our yearly campaign for the Diocese Development Fund (DDF). First off, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all of you who donated for Although our pledges were short of the goal, we achieved the total because of our Maintenance Fund donations going through the DDF. You should have received a letter in the mail along with the pledge card within the last two weeks. If you did not receive one please contact Colleen at (951) and she can send you one. Hopefully this year we can have all parishioners make a pledge to the DDF, our Goal is: $45, During this Lenten season we ask you to pray over it and have God guide you. Sunday, March 4th 7:30 AM - 11:30 AM Tickets will be on Sale after all the Masses. St. Francis de Sales Ministry Fair Did you ever wonder what it takes to be a Eucharistic Minister? Ever wanted to do the Reading at Mass or sing in the Choir? Well this is your chance to find out! In the hall on Sunday, March 11th, there will be our annual SFDS Ministry Fair. You can ask questions from the head of ministries. Stop by and find out how you can answer God s call to serve Him through the various ministries at St. Francis de Sales. Do you think of God as truly good? Do you ever wonder where He is especially when things go wrong? Get these questions, and more, answered in the 6-week small group study based on The Shack movie. Week one will be a full length viewing of the movie. Subsequent weeks will consist of reflection and faith sharing on 5 scenes in the movie. Group Facilitator: Deacon Joe Beginning February 19 Location: Church Hall 6:30 pm Annual Bishop s Dinner Saturday, April 7, 2018 We extend an invitation to attend the 18th Annual Bishop s Dinner for an evening of fun and community building as we celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the founding of the Diocese of San Bernardino. Our guest list is first come, first serve. Table of 10 is available for $2500 (table name will be listed in the program) or $250 per seat. (Men should not feel left out; there are dates listed for Men s retreats also.) Learn contemplative prayer and enjoy time away from your hectic life. This Wednesday, February 21st, begins our 5-week program to support and encourage individuals that have lost someone to death and still has an empty, aching feeling inside.
