EUCHARISTIC ADORATION There is the opportunity for Eucharistic Adoration every Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m. in the Parish House Chapel. BAPTISM Ordinarily celebrated during one of the weekend Masses. A preparation class is required for parents and godparents. Contact the parish office to make arrangements. MARRIAGE Couples planning to marry must contact one of the parish priests at least six months before the marriage to set a date and begin preparations for this sacrament. SICK AND HOMEBOUND Please notify the parish office if someone is unable to attend Mass and wishes to receive Communion or the Sacrament of the Sick. Also please notify the office if any parishioner is admitted to a hospital. 2 NOVEMBER 1, 2015 PASTOR S COMMENTS. Today, since the Feast of All Saints falls on a Sunday, we are able to celebrate the Feast with the Universal Church. There are over 10,000 Saints and Blesseds in the Church. These are the persons who have been formally canonized by the church after a process of examination of all their writings as well as the requirement that at least a couple of miracles be verified as having been done through the intercession of that person. We celebrate collectively all those canonized saints as a group today; but since the Feast is called ALL Saints, we also remember those individuals who have rubbed shoulders with us and whom we believe to be face to face with God and interceding for us. This is a blessed opportunity to reflect on the saints that we have known. As we call them to mind we are invited to take time to reflect on the virtues that they so beautifully lived and showed to us and to resolve to make their virtues our own. The ultimate goal of all of our lives is to be a saint. We may never be formally canonized by the Church, but hopefully our family and friends will one day be remembering our virtues as they call to mind the saints who have rubbed shoulders with them. All Souls Day always follows the Feast of All Saints, so on Monday we will be remembering all those who have gone before us. I encourage you to come to the Monday evening 6:30 p.m. Mass in church. At that Mass we will be remembering by name all those who have been buried from our church this past year and of course we will also be remembering all of our deceased loved ones. Our secretary, Eileen, will be out of the office for four weeks recovering from knee replacement. The office will still be open and if by chance you call and get the answering machine, be sure to leave a message and someone will return your call. Please keep Eileen in your prayers for successful surgery and a speedy recovery. WEDDING CONGRATULATIONS This weekend we extend congratulations to Madison Palmer & Jay Obstarczyk as they are united in the Sacrament of Marriage. May their life together be a witness of their love and of Christ s love for his bride, the Church. Fr. Harry Nichols will be celebrating all the Masses at our Parish, Deacon Richard will be celebrating with Fr. Joe Swierczynski and preaching at all the Masses at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish and Bro. John will be celebrating all the Masses at St. Stanislaus Parish. This will give the parishioners and the clergy an opportunity to get to know some of the folks in the different parishes of our cluster. Be sure to take time to introduce yourself to Fr. Harry next weekend.

3 ALL SAINTS HIPSTER T-SHIRTS UP-DATE The Bearded Brothers the Original Lawrenceville Hipsters T-Shirts that were ordered are available in the back of church or at the Parish Office. The orders are in plastic bags with your name on them. The cost is $10.00 per shirt. There are also some extra T-Shirts of varied sizes that are available to anyone who did not have an opportunity to order one and would like one. YOUTH GROUP NEWS Three of our youth group will be attending the Diocesan Fall Retreat November rd. Those that went last year had a great experience. Also, the Youth Group will be making its second appearance at the Lawrenceville Cookie Mall this year. They will be baking some of the cookies for the sale on Sunday, Nov. 15 th at the Lyceum. Let Gretchen know if you would like to help. MEMORIAL MASS FOR THE DECEASED This Monday, November 2 nd, the Feast of All Souls, we will be remembering by name all those who have been buried from our Parish since last November at the 6:30 p.m. Mass in church. Seventythree families have been contacted and invited to join us for the Mass this Monday. All parishioners are invited to come to this Mass as we support by our presence and our prayers those who have lost loved ones this past year. ALL SOULS ENVELOPES If you wish you can list on your All Souls envelope the loved ones that you would like remembered at the altar during the month of November. These envelopes will be placed on the altar during the month. THE BOOK OF LIFE You will also find a Book of Life near the pulpit in front of the poster listing the names of all those who were buried from our church since last November. You are invited to list the names of any deceased that you would like to remember during this month. HOLY NAME SOCIETY The Holy Name Society will meet on Sunday, November 15th at 8:10 a.m. to pray a rosary for the sick of the society and the parish community. A renewal of the pledge will follow immediately afterwards. Business meeting after Mass in the parish house. New members are welcome. RCIA FAITH STUDY Are you or someone you know interested in joining the Catholic Church? Are you married to a Catholic spouse, raising children Catholic, and/or interested in knowing more about the Faith to be able to share with them? Are you a Catholic who was baptized but never received the Eucharist or Confirmation? The RCIA Faith Study is offered to assist you! There is no time like the present to begin your inquiry into the Faith! Classes are on Mondays at 7:15 p.m. at the Parish House. RELIGIOUS ED GRADES PRE-K 8th Our Religious Education Program is a Family Centered Program. The new Program is emphasizing that the parents are the primary educators of their children, a point that is made explicit in the Rite of Baptism of children when parents state that they are accepting the responsibility of training their children in the practice of the faith. The Program will be based on the Scriptural Readings proclaimed each Sunday at Mass. User friendly materials were passed out to the parents and children to make the teaching and the learning easier. The parents and children meet at the Parish every four weeks and then are responsible over the following three weeks to work with their children at home on the lessons that were passed out. Since the lessons are based on the Sunday Scriptures it is important that they be sharing what they have heard in the Readings and in the Homily each weekend. The next general meeting of the parents and the children will be on Sunday November 15 th.
