9 FOR BULLETIN on May 26/27 MISSION CO-OP. Franciscan Mission Appeal On the weekend of May 26-27, as part of the 2018 Missionary Cooperation Plan of the Diocese of Springfield, there will be a collection at each Mass to support the missions of the Conventual Franciscan Friars. Fr. Anthony Lajato, OFM Conv. will preach at all Masses about the work his Order is doing to spread the Gospel throughout the world. Fr. Anthony has served as a formation director, parish priest and retreat director. He is currently stationed at St. Bonaventure friary in Chicago. The Conventual Franciscans number over 4,500 friars living in 70 countries spread over 6 continents. While the Conventual Franciscans are blessed to count many saints in their history, they are perhaps best known for being the Order to which St. Maximilian Kolbe belonged. The proceeds of the collection will support the education of young friars throughout Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, and Latin America as well as the friars work among the poor in these regions. If you would like to support the missions of the Conventual Franciscans with a check, please make it out to the name of your parish. We ask that you generously share the gifts that God has given to you! BULLETIN INFORMATION. The bulletin is for parish related items. Any other items will be used only if there is room. Deadline for the bulletin Is Wednesday before 4:00 P.M. Information can be mailed, ed, faxed, dropped off at the office, or dropped in any parish collection box. PRAYER FOR OUR SOLDIERS: St. Michael Church s bells ring Taps each evening at 8 P.M. reminding us to pause and say a prayer for our soldiers: Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them & their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, Our Lord & Savior. Amen
