Twelve members of our parish have been selected to be part of the Mandatum, the Washing of the Feet. 10 Page 10 Rice Bowls can be returned on PALM SUNDAY weekend. Our families are invited to participate in Operation Rice Bowl during the season of Lent. All proceeds go to Catholic Relief Services to help the poor. This is similar to the mite boxes from years ago. LifeTeen is a movement within the Roman Catholic Church. LifeTeen leads teenagers and their families into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. We are now forming our Core Team! There is no Adoration the Wednesday of Holy Week. Community Band presents its annual winter concert with classical favorites, show tunes, Irish melodies and marches. Free Admission. St. John, Riverhead, Trip to NYC and Catholic Sites: Thursday., March 15 th Leaving from St. John the Evangelist Church in Riverhead at 9:00am. A professionally guided tour will be going to the Old St. Patrick s Cathedral on Mulberry Street; St. Joseph House, The Catholic Worker and Mary House; Nativity Church, the Mother Anne Seton Shrine/Home in the Battery and the Hecker Bakery on Hester Street. Other sites possible if time permits. We hope to be back by 8pm or earlier. Some walking required. Cost of trip: $50 to $70 a person, according to number of participants. You can bring lunch or you can eat at one of our stops. Return this form and a $10 deposit is needed to confirm your place; Space is limited, so first come, first served.
