KONDAK: When You rose from the tomb, You also raised the dead and resurrected Adam. Eve exults in Your resurrection, and the ends of the world celebrate Your rising from the dead, O most merciful One. PROKEIMENON: Pray and give thanks to the Lord our God. verse: In Judea God is known; His name is great in Israel. Pray and give thanks to the Lord our God. A reading from St. Paul's Epistle to the Ephesians (4:1-6) Brethren, I, then, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to live in a manner worthy of the call you have received, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another through love, striving to preserve the unity of the spirit through the bond of peace: one body and one Spirit, as you were also called to the one hope of your call; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. UKRAINIAN CHRISTMAS TRADITIONS COFFEE HOUR: We will have coffee hour Sunday, December 17 (immediately following Sunday Liturgy) in conjunction with a video presentation of Ukrainian Christmas Traditions and a Christmas sing-a-long. 3 GOSPEL Luke 13:10-17 At that time Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath. And just then there appeared a woman with a spirit that had crippled her for eighteen years. She was bent over and was quite unable to stand up straight. When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said, Woman, you are set free from your ailment. When he laid his hands on her, immediately she stood up straight and began praising God. But the leader of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had cured on the sabbath, kept saying to the crowd, There are six days on which work ought to be done; come on those days and be cured, and not on the sabbath day. But the Lord answered him and said, You hypocrites! Does not each of you on the sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from the manger, and lead it away to give it water? And ought not this woman, a daughter of Abraham whom Satan bound for eighteen long years, be set free from this bondage on the sabbath day? When he said this, all his opponents were put to shame; and the entire crowd was rejoicing at all the wonderful things that he was doing. 4 CHURCH NEWS. Slava Isusu Christu! Slava Na Viki! 50 th ANNIVERSARY: Congratulations to Raymond and Charlene Barno who are celebrating their 50 th Wedding Anniversary this Sunday, November 26. An Anniversary Blessing will be bestowed upon them following the Divine Liturgy. All are invited to a toast and cutting of the anniversary cake in the church basement followed by a light luncheon in their honor. A special thank you goes out to the choir for singing the responses to the Liturgy. Come and celebrate their 50 years of marriage! Mnohaya Lita! THANK YOU! Olga Yurkowski would like to thank everyone who attended her birthday celebration and the very generous gifts. It was great to see friends and the choir was wonderful. Enough gratitude cannot be expressed for everything. Many thanks! FLEA MARKET: The Profit from the November 18 th Flea Market was $811. LADIES ROOM: Please keep the door to the Ladies Room closed in the basement. The heater has been repaired and the door must be closed to maintain the temperature or otherwise the heater will constantly run. LITURGY STATISTICS: In the month of November our Parish will do a statistical analysis of our Liturgy Attendance to both Saturday and Sunday Services. This attendance will be sent to the Archdiocese per their request. Please come and BE COUNTED. CHRISTMAS PREPARATION: On Sunday, December 3 we will be changing the altar linens in preparation for the Birth of Christ. PENGUIN S GAME: Thank you to everyone who expressed interest in attending a WB Penguins Game as a Parish function! We will decide on a date & more information will follow.

5 MYASOPUSNA: Save the date, Myasopusna is February 4 th next year! COFFEE HOUR WITH SAINT NICHOLAS: On Sunday, December 3 we will have coffee hour with Saint Nicholas. Everyone is welcome! Bring your children and grandchildren. PYROHY SALE: TIME IS RUNNING OUT! We will be making Potato Pyrohy on Saturday, December 2. Please save the date and come out to help make Pyrohy. Remember it is the maiden voyage of our new Pyrohy Machines. We are selling potato pyrohy for $6.00 per dozen. To order pyrohy please call Gerri Adamchak at FOOD COLLECTION: Transfiguration of Our Lord Parish is collecting nonperishable food products to donate to the St. Faustina Food Kitchen. There is a collection box in the church entryway. Please try to donate something for people who are less fortunate. Thank you to those who have donated so far! MASS INTENTIONS: If you are offering a Divine Liturgy for a specific day for your beloved or other intentions for 2018, please make sure you turn it into the rectory in order to make sure that you get the exact time that you would like. CANDLE INTENTIONS: The schedule for candles intentions will be posted shortly in the back of the church. Eternal Light($25), Altar Candles($40), Saint Nicholas Candle($10) & Proscomedia Table($20). Please check the back bulletin board for the posting. Additionally, we have candles before the icons and Tetrapod for $20 a month. New Lists for 2018 will be coming out soon. CONFESSION: Confession will be held every Saturday and Sunday prior to liturgy. If you wish to receive confession, please stand by the confessional. RELIGIOUS INSTRUCTION CLASS: We will have our last religious instruction class for the 2017 th year on Saturday, December 9 th immediately following liturgy. We will discuss God s covenant with Noah.
