The menu for the give a Meal-A-Month program for June is ready. Another new feature is the daily reading link that will take you directly to the Conference of Catholic Bishops website for the readings of the day. In the gym on Saturday, June 20 th from 8am-8pm, Kelly s Martial Arts School on Gravois has partnered with Power Source Gym to host a Martial Arts Tournament. They are raising funds to send some of the competitors to Austin, Texas for the national competition as well as funds for various scholarships and programing at the school. There will be demonstrations in sparing forms, team events and even people with disabilities competing with special needs. The cost is $5.00 for anyone to go watch any or all of the events. For more information contact Trish at Father Martin continues to recover from his surgery and is doing well. He would like to thank everyone for their continued prayers. Monday, October 5, 2015 Annual Charity Golf Tournament The Annual Charity Golf Outing for Room at the Inn, brought to you in a partnership between Webster Groves Christian Church and Westborough Country Club is back for a second year! Although the tournament is still months away, we want you to be among the first ones to know about our exciting sponsorships opportunities (see image below). By placing an early sponsorship to our event, you can make a big difference to the clients served by Room at the Inn, an emergency shelter for homeless women and families, in St. Louis County. Room at the Inn provides our clients with safe, clean shelter, food, transportation, and supportive services while they undertake the difficult task of regaining self-sufficiency. We serve about 200 people each year, about half of whom are children learning to be productive adults, and the other half who are single mothers or single women working to overcome large obstacles. Watch for more information about the event in coming weeks. Meanwhile, for information or to place a sponsorship, contact the development office of Room at the Inn at Mercy Center Summer Retreat "Transformation: Change That Lets Your Soul Grow Up" is a silent summer retreat led by John Mark Ettensohn, OMI, July 24 31, 2015 at Mercy Center, Frontenac. Registration at 4:30 P.M.; Retreat begins with supper at 5:30 P.M. on July 24 and concludes mid-morning on July 31. This silent guided retreat will take a closer look at what this transformation entails change, longing, waiting, desert, silence, awareness, true self, faith, hope, love, God-centeredness, control, and cross all part of allowing our souls the opportunity to grow up.
