2 Easter Sunday April 1, 2018 Alleluia! He is Risen! A very happy Easter to all of you and THANK YOU for choosing to celebrate Easter in our faith community! We at St. Elizabeth of Hungary are a community of believers trying to grow closer to Jesus. We hope to be a welcoming place for you in your faith journey! Here are a couple of upcoming events we hope you ll join! April 4 Men s Club Meeting 7pm. April 7 Young Adult Dinner at the Rectory, 5:30pm. Please put all diaper donations in the bin located in the lobby. Thank you for your generosity. We are excited about all the new faces entering our church, and we hope to extend that into fellowship and community among young adults at St. E's. During this Lenten Season, we prepare ourselves for the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ and seek to strengthen our relationship with God through prayer and sacrifice. It is in that light that I write to you today. The annual Collection for Retired Priests will be taking place today, Easter Sunday. This collection serves to provide support and care for our retired priests who have sacrificed so much for our parishes and communities. The Collection for Retired Priests is an opportunity to give back to those who give so much. Through spiritual milestones and decades of service, our priests have been there when you, your family and your fellow parishioners have counted on them. And while they continue to serve in the name of God, in retirement it is they who count on you for prayers and support. Your individual contributions help meet the needs of our aging priests including physician services, hospitalization, nursing home care, vision care and disability. Please help to ensure that this care is available for retired priests now and in the future by contributing to the Collection for Retired Priests.
