2 6th Sunday In Ordinary Time Hi Everyone! Are you ready for Lent? Let s not think of Lent as a four letter word this year (Well it is, but you know what I mean). This season of prayer, penance and almsgiving can be transformative and beautiful for our preparation for Easter and the rest of our lives! As we journey with Jesus towards Jerusalem, maybe we can leave some things behind: things we don t really need, past sins we ve held on to for too long, or forgiveness for past hurts. Wednesday we get the chance to be reminded of our mortality, that we re not perfect, that we re in need of our Savior. While it s not a holy day of obligation, I remember in 2016 how many of you made an effort to start Lent off with ash on your foreheads. Our Ash Wednesday Masses are as follows: 8am, Noon, 5:30pm Also: a reminder to save the date and sign up for our Lenten Retreat on March 3, from Noon-4pm. Sign ups are in the vestibule/foyer. As I ve begun preparing the reflections, I ve been thinking and praying for all of you, hoping the words spoken might help just a tad during your preparations for Easter.
