Our Lady of Mount Carmel provides dinner on the irst Friday of every month for Transition House. Its residents are families with children who need temporary assistance. Anxiety can be a contributing factor in depression, and even if it s not that severe, it can make day-to-day activities tough. Kids who suffer from anxiety may exhibit physical symptoms like asthma and stomach aches, or could have trouble eating, sleeping, or going to the bathroom. If your child is showing signs of anxiety, it s important to ask why, and then to help your child address the cause and manage the associated feelings. 6 Whole Community Faith Sharing Gospel: John 6:41-51 Reflection: In today s Gospel, we hear God s invitation for us to partake of the bread that comes down from heaven and to be nourished on our spiritual journey. We are thankful and mindful of Jesus presence in the sacraments celebrated in Eucharist and all of our community life. We are grateful for this nourishment, but also need to remember those who are hungry and in need. Even as we receive the bread of life, we must remember that it is not given for our life alone. May our participation in this Eucharistic celebration invite us to share in the life of God In and through Jesus, God nourishes us to continue his mission, loving and serving all of our brothers and sisters. Question: Bread nourishes us physically, and Jesus as the living bread nourishes spiritually. How can I be more open to Jesus and the ways that he can feed me?
