1 Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church Erected in 1936, the entire structure reflects the architectural style developed by missionaries, combining the building patterns of the Pueblo Indians with Spanish-Colonial design. Even the landscaping, with carefully selected shrubs and trees, is typical. Priest Fr. Thank You! Whole Community Faith Sharing Gospel Matthew 25:14-30 Reflection: Today s gospel is a parable of the master and his servants; the master is Jesus, we are the servants, and the talents are the inheritance that the Lord entrusts to us. What is the inheritance? His Word, the Eucharist, faith in the heavenly Father, and his forgiveness. In other words, so many things, his most precious treasures. In the parable, talents represent the riches of the Lord, which he entrusts to us so that we make them bear fruit. The Lord does not give the same things to everyone in the same way, he knows us personally and entrusts us with what is right for us, yet he does trust everyone equally. Let us not disappoint him, let us not be mislead by fear, but let us reciprocate trust with trust. Faith Question: What gift has God given me? What am I doing with it? Faith Response: I will name the talents that I ve been given and use these talents in the next week to make someone s life better. Reflecting on God s Word SHARING OUR GIFTS Autumn is the season for harvesting and sharing the fruits of our labors. This week s scriptures use images of the harvest, family life, pregnancy, and investment to describe the abundant harvest in the reign of God. We discover that sharing the gifts we have been given brings eternal rewards for everyone. In the Gospel parable a master entrusts his possessions to three servants before going on a journey. Each is given some talents. What they do with those talents determines what the master will do with them when he returns. How about us? What are we doing with our talents? How will our Master treat us when he returns? - Copyright J. S. Paluch Co., Inc. ALLELUIA. ALLELUIA.

Online Grooming Learning all we can about how predators groom children through online contact is key to keeping them safe at all times. Language is a predator s tool for grooming online. One tactic that online predators use to groom a potential victim is by complimenting and reinforcing their self-image as a way of normalizing their interactions. Compliments are used to build trust, desensitize, and mentally or emotionally isolate the potential victim from others. It is important to remember that monitoring the online communication of young people on chats, apps, gaming websites, etc. is key in preventing abuse.
