Join us in the parish hall. What s Going On As an interfaith coalition, we continue to reach out to other faithbased organizations in Manhattan to join our efforts. We re also continuing our outreach to local politicians. This type of advocacy is extremely important on a topic as complicated as immigration, so be on the lookout for another letter-writing and phone call campaign in the fall. We also have events we re hoping to organize in the next few months so stay tuned for details. Reunite Us Now NYC is a community-based group and our best chance of effecting change is by community-building and working together! Ministry Fair St. Francis De Sales will be holding a Ministry Fair on Sunday, September 9th and 16th from 10am - 10:45am to welcome any parishioner being called to serve our community in a more intentional way. There will be members of each ministry available to talk with you about their ministry and to answer any questions you may have. This year we are beginning a few new ministries that will allow for families to participate together. Below are some of the opportunities we will be offering. If you have any questions, please contact Jim, our Liturgy Coordinator at sfdsnymusicministry@gmail.com Baby/Toddler/Parent Social Sundays We are organizing a Sunday Brunch for Parents with young children (below the age of 5) in order to create opportunities for both parents and babies to meet each other and have some fun. Our first gathering will take place on Oct 21 after the 11:00 Mass (so, 12 Noon) in the newly renovated parish hall. It will be a Halloween party, so feel free to bring your babies in costume! If you would like to sign up to be a part of this new group, please see the moms (with clipboards) at the doors of the church after the 11:00 Mass...or contact Jayne via and we'll make sure you are in the loop!

It is the most amazing gift to be a part of someone s faith journey. We have one of the few YEAR ROUND processes in the Archdiocese of NY. That means that anyone can begin their journey by coming to ask their questions at any point in the year. It also means that we always love to have parishioners join us, helping with hospitality and making strangers feel welcome on any Monday night. If you have cookies in your house that you know you shouldn t be eating why not bring them by on a Monday night and stay for the conversation? If you like to bake or want to donate a case of water come join us for prayer and some faith talk. Get to know our inquirers and let them learn about SFDS by meeting you.
