Pennies for Heaven: collected. Recognition of New Members: -- New transfers to our council Luke Davis and Wayne Costa were recognized by GK Mosholder and stood up and introduced themselves. The Meeting was then suspended, and we had a Christ in the City guest by the name of Blake Roulette. Blake is the Director of Outreach for this ministry to the poor and homeless. He told us how year olds volunteer to be missionaries who help bridge the gap between society and the homeless. Every 2 nd Saturday of the month there are Saturday training sessions at the headquarters for Christ in the City at noon and then about 14 volunteers are needed to serve a lunch meal to the homeless at civic Center Park in Denver. The homeless served average about 150 folks. Blake challenged us to get involved as volunteers. Sleeping bags, water bottles, meals and face-to-face interactions are most critically needed. GK Mosholder mentioned how he is trying to get a case of hand warmers donated by Home Depot; he also discussed how John Whattam s sleeping bag donation campaign has progressed.
