8 Auditors and Trustees Report (Bernie Kuta): Ceremonials/Membership Director: (Keith Lowry): (1.) the next First Degree is planned for Thursday, March 3rd at 6:30 pm. 2.) A major degree is planned at St Francis Cabrini on April 2; it is a 2 nd and 3 rd degree ceremony and their 4th degree coming up in June. 3) Thomas J Kessler- our seminarian- is transferring back here to Highlands Ranch from Seward, Nebraska. A motion was made by Mr. Lowry to accept the transfer and seconded by Robert Seydel. A vote was taken and all approved the transfer of Seminarian Kessler. That is our only application. Our membership quota is set for 18. We are at 4 so we are looking to grow. If anyone is looking to become part of the degree team please see Keith. Report of Auditors and Trustees- Robert Wilson- A semi-annual council audit for period ending December 31, 2015; findings of the report; Council has net cash of $59,761 in three bank accounts; Council has net assets $74,014 which includes dues in arrears from 216 members. Lecturers Report (Good of the Order) (Christopher Harden)Mr. Harden showed the members a video regarding friendship. The brothers need to reach out to one another when they need someone to lean on.. Committee Reports Committee Chair Tim Mosholder Church/Family (John Park-) and Bernie Kuta) -) John Park was absent. We have Stations of the Cross coming up. -) Bernie Kuta reported that the first Saturday spaghetti dinner on Feb 6 th was a success. 75 people were served and the council made a profit of $25. The next Saturday supper will be in May due to the Lenten fish frys. Planning a Kite flying Sunday on Ascension Sunday May 8 th. Youth (Steve Myer) Patrick McAllen volunteered with Steve Myer in the free throw shooting contest. It was a huge success with about fifty kids participating and about seven volunteers. Community: Mark Smith: There are 3 fish fries scheduled on February 19 th, March 4 th and March 18 th. Mark hopes to have someone volunteer to coordinate this. Council Director- Eric Obergfell- (1.) Eric has had two orders for new council shirts at a cost of $35; however he needs at least 5 orders for the minimum order. Please contact him for new shirt orders. (2.)There will be no scheduled Sunday pancake breakfasts in February and March due to our council obligations hosting the Lenten fish fries.

9 Standing Committee/The Formal: John Park This year s Gala/Forma ( Oh What a Knight ) was held at the Marriot Hotel in the Denver Tech Center, starting at 6 pm. Keith Lowry reported on the success of the Gala event and those couples that were involved. John Park and Keith Lowry will give a more in depth report at next month s meeting. The paddle raiser was for the Pueblo dioceses; Keith was never so proud to be a Knight. We raised $20,000 and counting. Knights have come to Keith asking to offer their time to help to do some of the work in the parishes that are receiving these donations. Keith will follow up to assess the job to see if we can do this in a weekend. Other parishes have also contributed to this cause. Pro-life: (Chet Elder): last month was Respect Life month and Chet thanked all those who helped lead the Rosary for the unborn, as well helping place the flags representing the unborn on our west hill side. The youth participation was great and Fr. Bierbaum gave an excellent talk to the youth and Knights who participated. Anytime we can reach out and get the youth involved is a successful event. Unfinished Business: (Robert Seydel): Robert talked about Catholic Radio 1060 and suggested we all listen to this excellent station, which discusses positive world-wide news and hosts talk shows (including one last month featuring both Fr. Greg and Fr. Frank). Last month, he made a proposal that our council become Founders of this station and made a motion that we donate $3600 to this cause. The motion was seconded by Chris Harden and tabled until this meeting due to our council bylaws. Robert Seydel gave more details about the radio station; including the fact that 50% of the listeners are not Catholic; 25% are fallen away Catholics; it is a 50,000 watt radio station; it has the capacity to reach 3.2 million people; working to raise $2 million and have raised $1.5 million thus far. Robert s original proposal was for $3600 but if that amount is too much he suggests we make several payments per year toward that amount. Mr. Mosholder suggested, since it is a larger amount, that we table the vote until next month to allow a larger group of members to approve or disapprove the motion. Bruce Allen reported that the council is behind in budget by $10,000 due in large part to expenses for the Gala and suggested that we might spread out this expense over three years. Mr Mosholder reported that he has listened to the station; is learning a lot; has heard them take calls and questions from non-catholics; reports that the rosary is prayed at 3:00 PM. Mr. Lowry mentioned that anyone who still wants to give to the Gala paddle raiser can still do so; please tab out for the auction by paying by check or cash; Paypal charges $3/$100. Old Business: 4th Degree Report: (Dave Barnett): (1.) Faithful Navigator Dave reported that a quorum was reached at the January 28 th- 4 th Degree. Mr Barnett decided to have a Corporal Mass on Feb 20 th at the 10:00 AM mass. 4 th Degree planning meeting will be held on Feb 25 th. Mr. Barnett and Dave Stauber called all of the fourth degree members to increase the meeting turnout. Mr. Barnett would like to invite all fourth degrees to the meeting and would like to pray the rosary after the meeting. John Wheeler reported having the color guard on hand December 11 th for Our Lady of Guadalupe Mass and in Colorado Springs on December 12 th. Field Agent s Report: (Trent Davis): Our field agent Trent Davis has been assigned to a new council. Our new agent is Nick Droege (Dro-Gee).
